Who knows? If we didn't lose, twice, to Fiorentina then maybe we won't lose at all for a while. And if you believe that Ajax has a pretty good team for the level that it plays at then a bit of a boost of confidence like that can carry far. Enough reason to be somewhat optimistic, I'd say.

Still not too optimistic, I have to say. If we lose we will have a serious problem with regard to second place (don't expect Twente to make mistakes against Den Haag).

I'd forgotten how much I disliked these guys. Now I remember.

I just tuned in -- nice that we are 1 goal up -- but from the time I started to now it looks to be all Utrecht in possession. How have we been playing?

We looked great early, but we've taken our foot off the gas since the goal. Very physical game.

We got too lazy in the last 20 minutes; the passing is just not as crisp as it was at the start of the match. Utrecht have no clue on offense but it only takes one to even this one up.

Agreed. Sulejmani has looked less bad than usual, but he's still not sharp. Suarez is his usual self. Enoh has been uninspiring, but we look pretty decent on defense overall. I would like to see a more offense-minded like Aisatti inserted to give us some more continuity going forward. Of course offensive continuity is going to be hard with Utrecht clogging up the middle of the pitch.

But that goal was a wonderful piece of work.
