So Vermaelen and Oleguer are both injured. Looks like Schilder and Wielaert will be starting in their place. Vertonghen was injured but has recovered. Not sure that's the ideal way to start off the second half of the season, but that's how it is.
I think we really need to come out strong, both in the game, and in the start of the new year. I think we're finally going to win the league this year if that happens. Looking forward to it

Vermaelen and Oleguer will miss the NEC game. Expected defence is Van der Wiel - Wielaert - Vertonghen - Schilder.
Rasmus Lindgren sustained an ankle injury in training on Saturday, and will not make it. Alderweireld and Sno added to the squad.
Expected line-up, according to Ajax Netwerk:

I'm starting to like how our squad is looking. I like our midfield like this, has some bite.

Sulejmani in center doesn't look very good IMO. He's a real winger and i don't see him as central midfielder. He should play on left wing, Urby on the left in the midfield and Enoh in the center.

Hmm Sulejemani in the middle is a bad idea, and urby up front? hmmm and moreover Ive never rated Schilder so i see him as a total weak link nice to have Steks back though and should be good for Wielaeart to earn his stripes.
Interesting one, AZ are unlikely to slip up today so we just need to keep up, i gotta believe they will slip up eventually

Urby up front on the left isnt a bad option. He cant defend so the further up-field he is the better.

Maybe it's a bad idea to put Sulejmani on 10, but he says himself it's his favourite position. And he wasn't that bad in the beginning of the season, with Huntelaar?

Ha. Just watched PSV get awarded the worst penalty ever. Shot hit the defender square in the face and ref gave a handball. Simons took it... hopeless penalty, keeper saved it but it squirmed over the line. Typical. Undeserved 1-0 PSV.
THEN Roda equalised straight from the kickoff. Hilarious.

I mentioned that in the Other Teams thread. A draw wouldn't be bad, but it would be nice to see PSV lose. Roda just missed a very good chance.

SopCast 51966 is the usual feed with Dutch commentary, working fine.
