Which makes Setanta even worse than I thought. I'm glad that they show the games but I could commentate better (and would do more research instead of just going silent when they pan to someone in the stand - or in one case when there was a minute's silence and they didn't know who for!!)

Edit: Oh and lat week they announced that Bobby Haarms was dead!
Setanta commentators suffer from a disease which causes them to make an abundance of inaccurate statements about Dutch football. I think it may be catching. :smallgrin.gif:

I'm more worried about our so called fullbacks.

Yeah, Silva on the bench, so that Van de Wiel can give Biseswar all the space in the world... What's that all about?

And what's that shit with Leonardo? Why is he (a fringe player, who had almost moved to the great Al Sadd in Qatar) suddenly higher in the pecking order than Cvitanich (top goalscorer of Argentina and a 6.5 million euro purchase)?

That first equalizer... Van der Wiel kindly steps aside so that Biseswar can go past him. Steks makes the save, the ball falls down from the sky and Tomasson can nod it home, surrounded by three fucking Ajax players - and he didn't even have to jump, for flyin' fuck's sake!

Drives me mad.

And then Mr Braamhaar... Don't get me started on that idiot.

Two points lost - for sure!

Tommy Smyth :drecul.gif: Channel 5 in the UK used to show delayed coverage of Eredivisie courtesy of ESPN. Tommy's performance can best be described as comedy gold. :biggrin.gif:

Marco was more than happy to deploy Dirk Kuijt on the wing, so he has no excuse (especially since Leo is such a diddy) for not doing the same with Cvitanich.

It wasn't the best game. I still don't understand, how Tomasson scored his first goal. There were 3 Ajax defenders marking him! They just look for the ball, but they did nothing... As for the second goal for Feyenoord - it's hard to say if it was a foul. In similar situation with Suarez, the referee didn't whistle.

Goals for Ajax: we can say that Sarpong scored from nothing. It didn't look like a very dangerous situation. As for the KJH goal - we had some luck when Suarez passed to Huntelaar.

Bad news is that Sulejmani is injured. He was one of the best Ajax players last game and I hoped he could repeat it today. Suarez was - in my opinion - one of the worst players today (despite the assist). He had a lot of ball loses and indirect passes. KJH had 2 more situations, but Timmer did well.

The things that I miss are offensive actions of our wing backs (de Cler showed that it could work). I didn't see them today. And maybe Ajax should try more shots from the distance.

One of the worst klassiekers I've seen, between two deeply mediocre football teams.

Referee just wouldn't allow the game to flow, he seemed to think all physical contact between players is illegal. The tackle is going to disappear from football all together if we are not careful.

Not sure how we conceded those goals. Still believe we need a decent big central defender.( I bet Vito Wormgoor has agood game on Thursday for Utrecht)

Like Ko I cannot understand what is going on with Leonardo as he was nearly sold and now he is getting playing time. With Sulejmani injured
the only alternative to Leonardo would be Rommedahl or even Kennedy!!

Martina was put in the first team squad and was to be picked ahead of the above 3 but he has not featured and hardly played for the reserves.

Why was De Jong not on the bench today does anyone know? Lindgren, Enoch and Schilder are all defensive midfielders together with Sno and Vertonghen , who started. When you consider we have Gabri,Anita and Van der Heijden all defensive midfielders this does seem to be rather alot.(I know some can play other positions) We do seem to be top heavy in that position, whereas we have only about 5 forwards and 6 defenders to pick from and only about 2 attacking midfielders.

The most important man: the ref. They're reaching the same level as the Eredivisie today. So average at best.

It looked horrible. And it was. But the unusual trajectory of the ball may have created a psychological dilemma. The same thing that is seen when spectators on shore watch a person drown, without anyone jumping in the water.

What were they thinking? Maybe they expected the goalie to get up and catch the ball. Probably they didn't recognize it as a very dangerous situation. Clearly, they were waiting for another to solve the problem.

The solution would have been quick communication ('I got it!'), but I'm not sure that fast communication is among the stronger qualities of such an international squad. The bottomline is that they couldn't make up their minds within the time allowed. They didn't jump because they were, literally, nailed to the ground.

Very unusual goal. Yet somewhat hilarious as well, in a Buster Keaton kind of way.

watched the goals on sky ,could see them clearer than watching a stream live.
Penalty was a very poor decision, referee probably cost us the match with that .As for their first goal well 4 players watched the ball and not the man , I would be upset if my local team Worthing gave away a goal like that.

As I posted yesterday we have about 8 defensive midfielders (forgot to mention Delorge even though he is now a reserve) but our defence still looks frail. We are still a couple of decent defenders short.

Yeah, I have to agree with the general sentiment having seen the replays, i.e. Suarez's was closer to being a penalty than Mols's was. I take back what I said...

It is clear that feyenoord is a very mediocre side, this season again, and have very little chance to be a serious competitor in the title race. Therefore we have to admit that a draw against them can not be a good result.
