Yeah. Horse-racing at Duindigt in The Hague! You should join us. Here's the itinerary for the day: first we smash up the ADO Den Haag clubhouse with baseball bats and then we go to the racetrack. It's right by Scheveningen, so a walk on the beach is possible afterwards! :yes:

Apart from the four gentlemen from Holland, the other attendees include at least one Jock (Jock Cloggie) whose other nickname is Mr Lover Lover, and Pizza 5 who is also a women killer. So I am sure that Mrs EE will be suitably impressed by the men in attendance.

Phillipe, I cannot see where you are coming from at all. Cohen made a fair point that if weapons and hard drugs are found on the premises of other bars, nightclubs in Amsterdam they are closed down, so why should an exception be made for Ajax supporters club. If he allowed it to remain open after what was found there then it will set a precedent for all nightclubs, bars in Amsterdam to argue that they should remain open even if weapons, hard drugs are found on the premises.

The people to be blamed here are the idiots who were using the supporters club to store their weapons, drugs etc - they are aware of the law like most other citizens of Amsterdam.

Forget all the Football Acts etc etc - just let the authorities announce that a field or playground plus weapons has been put aside for those who want to fight. That way the rest of us could enjoy ourselves without combi's etc etc. Having said all of that, I bet you not that many would turn up.

OPH, Actually saw something like that after the World Cup match between USA and Iran in Lyon in 1998. All the Iranians were celebrating in the main square then fights broke out between the hard line Islamists and supporters in exile of the Old Shah. The police blocked all the entrances to the square and let them get on with it for 30 minutes - no holds barred, fists, bottles, chairs, benches etc - must admit it was quite good entertainment whilst enjoying my evening dinner. Afterwards police went in and carried away the wounded and by which time the remaining Iranians on their feet reunited to celebrate beating their enemy - the USA. Police reckoned less hassle if they are all in hispital for a few days and than being released on to the street. Quite bizarre.

But agree with your sentiment - the majority are always going to suffer because of problems caused by the minority eg combi's, bars being closed - so they should really just crack down hard on them. Bollocks to their rights, let the rest of us get on with enjoying football.

The following paragraph in Ko's report on Ajax USA and concurs with everything I have read or heard in the Dutch media reports.

Exactly the point and that is why Jamcocteau and I was proposing that the authorities take stong action against the guilty people. But in the meantime what were they to do - say thats ok keep all the drugs and weapons you want to at the supporters home. Come on give me a break, of course they had to close it down. The people who are running the place must have known what was going on under their noses so they cannot hardly claim innocence.
You can hardly blame the authorities for following the laws of the land.

Anyways, the whole thing looks like a set-up.

I don't believe that people with criminal intentions would be so naive to meet at the supporters home the evening after an attack in Den Hague.
And I would be curious to know what kind and quantity of "drugs" (my opinion is that alcohol in its various forms is an hard drug, but I doubt they meant beer) and weapons were found.
