He may I remind you that moderators working hours (for the ones on the day shift) are from 8:30 to 17:00, so where the hell do you think you're going? :D

I don't think these set of players believe they can go out an perform in Europe, but all it takes is a couple of wins and the team will perform better and we can be feared in Europe.
At the moment we are a small-time club with a big reputation to upheld.
Apparently Sneijders goals were 'crackers' according to Eurosport.com, but the main objective is that we are through, hopefully we don't get put with all the heavyweights in the draw.
What a game - First half was crap but 2nd about 200 times better. Still coming down to earth...thatnks to "De Hems" for showing the whole thing live :nooo: (1 to them) :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: (3 to us!!!!)
My son was quick to tell me we were 1-0 down but did not come down and tell me we scored. I did have Sky news on all the second half and it was not long before super boy Ryan scored and young Wesley made it safe. I will catch the goals in the morning on Sky.( Son is now watching the Arsenal game highlights. Yes he is a Gooner but he fell for Arsenal because of Denis Bergkamp)
Now we are certain to earn a minimum £ 10 million perhaps the Ajax board will give Nigel De Jong a proper pay rise.( you will all gather that this point seriously pisses me off)
PS on the subject of being pissed I expect our Menno is having a few more now. Didn't he sign off about 2pm to start pre match drinks!!
Anyhow well play Ajax thankfully we are now in the draw proper.
The 1st half was one of the worst I've seen from Ajax ever. No creativity, slow predictable inaccurate passing. 0-1 was the least Bronby deserved at 1/2 time. Blind surpeised me with the lack of changes after the break. But I think he did it to make a point...to show he had faith in the players. It worked. The team started to pick up their game, and Babel scored a "Babel", i.e. a deceptively hard shot from outside the box right in the corner, catching out the goalie. After that there were a few Danish counters, but the passing was more fluid (and faster), thereby creating space. Schneijder played like he did a season and a half ago...again Blind's psychology seemes to be working as he was hungry and sharp. Two great goals (the first better than no. 2) and it was over. I hope this was a good learning process for the team...not dropping their heads in a difficult situation....showing the system can work if they apply themselves.
The BIG dissapointment was Rosenberg, who honestly did not one thing right in my opinion.
“If I wanted you to understand it, I would have explained it better.”
I just caught the extended highlights from Eurosport and I second Manneken in Rosenberg's performance. All the times I saw him touch the ball he looked unable to handle it under pressure and in the tempo. That he needs to work on. I also think he showed some lack of understanding for how to position himself and how to run when wingers had the ball with speed down the flank. That might come better in time though.
Otherwise:
Great goals by Wesley. Impressed with the little I saw from Maduro, that guy is really going to be something for us!
I'm also very relieved that there will be CL-football this year and that we seem to be able to carry the myth of being a "big club". The play itself doesn't seem to show it though.
What came out of the game for me was that old rubber-legs will surely have convinced everybody that he will never make it at Ajax. Babel is not a left-winger - great goal but absolute crap the rest of the time. Rosenborg did as much as anyone could with the crap service he got all evening and he was left way too isolated. Emanuelson had a big impact on the second half as he was pushed a lot further forward. Sneijder was just terrific.
At half-time I thought we were dead and gone - maybe I should have believed in Mystery Bob who predicted in the bar near Dam that Ajax would record a 3-1 win with Bronby scoring first.
Well rock and roll is such a crazy drug,
It wraps you up in a great big hug
Charles Dickens could've written the script for the match..."A Tale of Two Halves". Definitely the worst of times followed by the best of times. I about took a hatchet to my computer I was so pissed off at halftime. I did yell.My 73 year old neighbor, enjoying a quiet day on his patio, nearly had a stroke.
But, catastrophe averted on all counts. Caught bits of the match on FSC's Fox Sports Report this morning. Well taken goals, especially Sneijder's 1st, and one helluva defensive play on or near the goal line by Trabelsi . Glad to hear Emanuelson played better as time went on although I think Juanfran and Sneijder will in time our best left sided combo.
