Ajax are indeed a corporation though the voting rights of shareholders are limited. Remember it was not so long ago that the reserves were perilously low and the club was in financial trouble. Running the academy is costly. The club's €2M per player salary cap does limit the players they might want to add to the roster. The problem is how to grow revenue in a very weak television market. I think Ajax have pretty much maxed out on ways to increase revenue streams other than winning the Champions League which would bring in a very big pot of money.Ayman schreef:On top of that, the board of directors treat Ajax like a corporation, i.e. a feeding club, coupled with Marc Overmars not offering good contacts to key players e.g. Onana.
