Well the refs usually know if someone is on a yellow. For a tame foul like the one we saw on the 2nd card, it should've been a warning at the most.

well at least their goal was good but ref spoilt the game with a poor decision to red Moisander. Several fworders should have been carded . At least we got a point but thats 2 weeks running we should have been able to hold on but have dropped points. Not sure what Sulejmani actually did and Enoh could have come on 10 mins earlier

Ryan Babel was not playing a good match (understatement) but a death penalty should be given to every coach who takes of his only fast attacker. Sulejmani should have been substituted for Boerrigter who is always useful in the air at corners and free kick situations like the one which brought that goal from Pelle.

That was typical Eredivisie officiating - show Ajax yellow at every opportunity and forgive our opposition everything. The first yellow for Moisander was a good tackle, moments later cockroach made the same and that thing wasn't even whistled. The second is just a joke. A bad one though.

Terrible performance for all, and the worst player by far was Babel. The ref had good game before that monkeybrain desicion. I mean WTF?!, did he got message that the money transfered to his acount?

Crushing way to lose the match but what a great strike it was from Pelle. Alderwiereld had him defended well but could do nothing as everything was perfect for the tying goal (at least it wasn't an Ajax blunder that cost points). Vermeer save the point with a brilliant save on a final header by Pelle as Feyenoord pressed on ignoring Sulejmani who was down on the pitch. Moisander deserves the goat horns for picking up a silly second yellow card (rightfully deserved) and getting sent off. Valiant defending for all but five seconds almost led to the full three points.

Player ratings:

Vermeer (8) - poor kicking but some great saves to keep the tie
Blind (6) - very poor on defense when at left back, he was at fault on the first Feyenoord goal; offensively he keeps pushing forward
Moisander (5) - just two dumb yellow cards leading to a sending off, otherwise was good
Alderwiereld (7) - stalwart on defense today
van Rhijn (7) - good match and is pushing forward much more with each match, kept control of his winger for most of the match
Poulsen (7.5) - a real rock on defense today and his ball distribution was much improved
Schöne (6.5) - rather quite most of the match though steady enough
Eriksen (8) - very good match moving between midfield and frontline; delicate free kick gets the second goal after scoring the first
Babel (6.5) - great pass to Eriksen for the goal, but ran out of gas down the stretch and was poor controlling the ball in the final minutes of the match
de Jong (7) - good header to get the goal and has played well since moving back and forth with Eriksen
Sana (5.5) - mediocre at best and disappointingly gave up on the play several times in the first half leading to his substitution
Sulejmani (6) - rounding into shape but didn't create any danger on the pitch
Dijks (6.5) - did well defensively coming on after the sending off
Enoh (NR) - not on long enough coming on for Babel

Moisander is out for next week's match against Vitesse (he would have been anyway because of Yellow card accumulation). Will we see Blind or Denswil at left center defense? Too bad that full points were not gotten but the team did well when down to 10 men. A big ZERO to the Feyenoord fans (if you can call them fans) for constantly throwing things onto the pitch. I hope the club is punished for this.

For their first when the ball fell for their young left winger VRhijn was not marking him just like he was not in position for Man City's goal which was similar


F word should fined for their crowd and I thought Guidetti before the game was doing his best to ge the crowd going. That plus several F worders getting away without cards makes

I totally disagree. Yes, Blind left the space which let to the assist, but after Immers missed, the attack should have ended. That Boëtius thereafter had all the room in the world to take the ball and score was completely down to Van Rhijn who left him completely unattended (a carbon copy of his poor defending that let to the City goal).

And Suljemani a 6??? He was fundamentally bad for the full 45 minutes. Lost the ball, hung around at midfield, played with his back to the F-goal, constantly passed backwards, slow. A disgrace for Ajax.

That was my view of the play as well. Certainly everyone can apportion blame to any player but if Blind is in position Verhoek doesn't get a cross in. By and large the team defended quite well and look how many times they cleared the ball when it got into the penalty box. I haven't seen the shooting statistics yet but would argue that generally the team defended well and particularly so when down to 10 men.

He should have given Clasie red though. Twice or maybe even three times. First offense was a clear elbow under his nose. That's a real mistake that would have changed the match.

well if Mosinander is banned for 2 games our defence is going to undermanned v Vitesse and Zwolle. With Enoh probably going to miss the Vitesse game,he has appealed his red from last weeks Jong game, there is no chance of Poulsen dropping back . Blind as CD and Dijks LB is likely but maybe Denswil will play in the cup at Sneek .Its at times like this we need an old guy like Ooijer still around.

Have to see the replay. In my memory there were other defenders around Immers.
It's what happened against City as wel: Van Rhijn wanting to 'help' in the box and leaving the complete left side wide open.
