They're playing like they were the ones that were leading -- pitty patting the ball across the back line -- maybe they are just hoping to keep the score down.

Watching team after team push our players around game after game makes me wonder if Ajax will ever field a team big and strong enough to stand up.

Wow 4-2 now. Blind needs to be left out. Seriously. He does nothing in there and causes imbalances which make others take bad decisions and the whole defense look bad in general.

And of course whenever the camera shows Bergkamp, he has the same dead face... My thoughts

1. Ligeon isn't as bad a RB as Blind is a LB. Why didn't we go with Ligeon and Anita at LB? Koppers could play LB next week. I think he just came back from injury as well.

2. Enoh and Jannsen can't be played together. One can't move and tackle and takes an eternity to pass, the other has no positional sense and can't even make a 5 yard pass.

3. Mickey can't play on the right. He comes in and narrows the field too much. Why can't we have him on the left and Lukoki/Ozbiliz on the right?

4. Mid field has to be Anita - Eriksen - Aissati/Lodeiro.

I would say it seems like playing without heart, nerve, "one-touch" passing as if we are brazil and all that we watch every week. if you dont like the word gay, please feel free to use another...

Very poorly played match today both on defense and offense. The team showed no signs of movement anywhere on the pitch moving at the pace of maple syrup in the middle of winter. One really needs to ask some serious questions of FdB, Bergkamp and the rest of the training staff. Why is it that play takes forever to develop and there is no quickness out there. Feyenoord, it must be said, are only an average team. Guidetti reminds me a lot of the great Bayern and German NT striker, Gerd Muller, strong on the ball and a very deft touch. I wish that we could develop a player with such skills (you could see how he recovered from a bad touch on the fourth goal to control the ball and slot it home).

Player ratings:

Vermeer (7) - only decent player out there today; made some solid saves, kicked the ball well and was not at fault on any of the goals
Anita (6) - went forward well but made some errors on defense
van Rhijn (5) - where was he on the third goal; two players were open on the left side
Vertonghen (6) - solid game and an undeserved call on the penalty
Blind (5) - cannot defend
Enoh (5) - undistinguished effort
Eriksen (6) - great goal but otherwise absent for great stretches
Janssen (5) - why is he even out on the pitch
Sulejmani (5) - did absolutely nothing and probably strained his knee and will be out a spell
Ebecilio (6) - best of all the forwards which is faint praise; should have done better when he was in on Mulder alone
de Jong (5) - nothing good or bad to say
Lodeiro (5) - nothing good or bad to say
Bulykin (6) - had the presence of mind to pressure Mulder and make things interesting for a couple of minutes
Klassen (5) - nothing good or bad to say

Even with all the injuries this team has, I expected at least some passion and aggressiveness on the pitch. I've given FdB the benefit of the doubt all season long but I'm beginning to question if he really understands what is wrong with this team out on the pitch. 7 points adrift of the leaders and even now with Feyenoord and Heerenveen and they still have the distraction of playing two matches against ManU. things do not look very pretty moving forward. As Yogi Berra famously said, "it's not over until it's over" but this season is quickly approaching that point.

agree with your summing up Orange Vermeer was not at fault and of the 3 forwards who started Ebecilio was the best! Blind cannot defend to save his life and should not be on the field .
OK VRhijn struggled today but the defence has been poor all season and that includes V D WIEL ,who gave away soft penalties v Groningen and PSV .

On the subject of the defence we started the season with only 6 of them,I exclude Anita as he is a midfielder and only a stand in defender.Of those 6 only the inexperiencd Boilesen was a left back and the 2 spare being Ooijer ,who was past it and Blind who is not remotely good enough . No wonder our defence has struggled.We also have not started with a striker
since Siggy was injured. Boerrigter and Siggy have been missed up front. As for midfield Enoh and Janssen have been poor and Eriksen flatters to deceive. Maybe he needs to play in a bigger league with better players around him!!

Well I think the season is over ,as Man U will thrash us and I do not see us even finishing 2nd. Next week(feb 6th) we have that court hearing decision and the members deciding whether they want Cruyff or V Gaal. If its V Gaal then I see him becoming coach next season and not CEO.

Well I dont know what he said (in fact I am watching the tennis final) so I hope you dont mind me asking an explanation or sum. :)
Blind is next to the great Legends that their sons arent good players
