I thought he was pretty good once he got healthy last year, but I think he seems out of place in a 442.

All in all, 3-0 seems justified based on what I saw in the second half. Not a particularly exciting game, but three points in the bag and three goals not scored by Suarez.

well 3 points and no goals let in.2 weeks in a row we have not let in a goal from a backline made up from our own youth .Rommendahl Sulejmani and Aissati did not inspire me today although Aissati did score.I know you will laugh but Zeegelaar Martina and de Jong would do no worse and they cost nothing ! Why on earth we are letting Cvitanich go as we are not flush with strikers!!

I'm not laughing but agreeing with you. I would be starting Siem de Jong over Aissati. He controls the ball better and seems to have a better shot. After the last couple of matches, I would keep Kennedy and let Rommedahl go. Rommedahl appears to be regressing to his form of last year while Kennedy seems to get a clutch goal every now and then.

Just caught the replay on ESPN360. Definitely a tale of two halves. Glad to see Ajax was able to make the necessary adjustment (attitude or otherwise) at half . The first half was as miserable as advertised. A better sleep aid than Ambien CR . The second half showed an Ajax side that seemed much more committed . Seeing Enoh ( great touchline two step steal of the ball) , Kennedy , Suarez , and even Emanuelson chasing down opponents and loose balls was very enjoyable to watch. I didn't mention Demy de Zeeuw because that is normal for him . Beautifully taken goals. I hope Toby Alderweireld's goal will help his confidence grow . Seems like a new defender is a pipe dream so Toby needs to step up. Luis Suarez didn't score , but his fingerprints were all over our goals ...especially numbers two and three. After Thursday , I was going to suggest that the trainers place a sign on Kennedy that said " In Case Of Europe , Use Kennedy " , but he did pretty well today. The stats flashed up on ESPN360 showed Ajax with 19 shots , 11 on goal , and 59% possession for the game. Funny how I didn't think the possession was so skewed in our favor. Guess that shows what a committed half of football will do .
