Great Result! Obviously Manucharyan gave the team talk before the game, with the advice, "FORWARDS TO VICTORY".
Keep the faith......PSV are faltering......but....

As I just wrote on the homepage of Ajax USA: this team is fascinatingly whimsical. They continue to amaze me. Absolute fucking dogshit against Excelsior and Heerenveen and then this... This is an excellent win over an on-form team who are almost unbeatable at home.
It's a shame, though...
I have a feeling that we'll win in Eindhoven next weekend (for the first time in twelve years). Then, the gap will be five points with six games left to play. It is too late, I'm afraid, and I can't stand it: PSV have dropped all the points (and more!) we were hoping for since the winter break, but we've been too inconsistent to take advantage and that's very frustrating. We will finish quite closely behind them in the end, and then we will understand how tremendously painful the Excelsior result really was.

Some psychiatrist could make a HUGE SUM of money if he or she could figure out why Ajax is so consistently inconsistent. I wouldn't have seen todays performance coming in a million years. No matter! CONGRATS AJAX! Glad to see KJH and Babel stepping up.
Fortuna Sittard, De Graafschap, Sparta, Excelsior...why do we lose points against their ilk? X'C Fuck it! I'll drive myself mental if I go down that road.

Ajax reminds me of a top layer NBA basketball team that only gets up for 'real' teams. When they think they're better, they sort of cruise through the week, instead of preparing for war. What that comes down to, in my eyes, is a lack of commitment. They don't live, breathe, and dream it.Kowalczyk schreef:As I just wrote on the homepage of Ajax USA: this team is fascinatingly whimsical. They continue to amaze me. Alex seems to be injured, seriously (?). Another good reason to be a little bit more optimistic next sunday.
it seems may be done for the season, so we could actually start fantasizing about a psv collapse if we win next week

He was great, I must say. Played as if he's been a starter forever. In the opening phase he went forward a few times and he even fired on goal. Very sassy for a young defender. I liked him.
Okay: N'Kufo was his man when Twente scored, so you could call that a 'mistake', but I don't think it was really Van der Wiel's fault. Stekelenburg didn't look fantastic, though, but what else is new...?

There was no way the goal was Stekelenburg's fault. That goal kan be blamed on Grygera or Urby (whoever should have been with Bakircioglü at the moment) and Van der Wiel, who completely forgot that being a defender means you have to keep on eye on the forwards. Nevertheless, from what I could see at Talpa he had a nice game.
Everybody looked bad on that goal... Stekelenburg was a bit naive to wait for the ball coming to him whereas N'Kufo was rushing on it, but he shouldn't have be allowed to do so if the defenders had done their job.
Today, we now have a better attack than PSV, but we just conceded twice as many goals as them.

Re: Match Report
Bit of a typo on the match report mate. Sounds pretty tricky, I obviously don't have Babel's talents in this department...
