Well looks like I made the right decision to miss tonights game,( I even won the quiz with my mates )clearly another stressful experience watching by the sound of it. I see the comments on Riedewald struggling but would point out hes 17 and up until Christmas played DM for the youth until his wonder 10 mins v Roda. Has played just 2 Jong games as LB since the winter break so I guess its asking a lot for him to suddenly play well at this level at LB .By the sounds of it hes not ready.

We are grinding the results out and can only do better but 2 more weeks and its Europa Cup Thursday nights and that will take a toll on what is a small squad with plenty of inexperience.

I actually thought Ajax did OK, given how defensive Groningen were. They only went into our half once or twice in the first 45 minutes and it could have been 3–0 or something at half time. Definitely created enough chances to earn the win, but it wasn't always great fun to watch...
