the good news is that we are even at 1-1 and not down 3-0 which it could have easily been without some great keeping (and a little bit of luck) by Vermeer. The bad news is that we were absolutely terrible in every aspect of the game save the one great pass from Eriksen and finish by Mickey (he would have definitely drawn a penalty if he did not convert the goal as he was chopped down and had good skills to finish the play). I think that there were only two shots from within the box, everything else long range to no good effect. El Hamdaoui was terrible holding the ball too long or dribbling into two players; I think he is a lost cause since he obviously doesn't listen to anyone. Boilesen was not very good on defense getting beaten or caught out of position at least a half dozen times by my count.

Vleminckxx should have received a yellow card (minimum) for the elbow on de Jong and I've seen red cards given for less. We need to get our heads reoriented and come out playing in the second half. Twente are even at 0-0; PSV are up 1=0

With all the Belgians in our defensive third, I was thinking, If only we had Vertonghen, Toby and Vermalean at the same time, we could actually go back to playing with a back three with Van der Wield and Vertonghen playing as a real number 4.
