Anyone taking odds on how long a match suspension our closet werewolf will need to serve?
A number of people have commented on Siem de Jong's lack of impact on the pitch. Again, I think this boils down to tactics (or more appropriately, the lack thereof). He doesn't seem to have a role out there. Balls played to the front either go to El Hamdaoui or Suarez; you can count on one hand the number of times de Jong gets a touch. Even though we should have '4' players on attack, it's usually only '2 1/2' with the other winger coming in. We end up unbalanced as a result. Contrast this to last year when most balls were played up to Pantelic in the middle and as a result we were able to free up more attacking players. Given that Urby is leaving (maybe in January if we can find a sucker to buy him), Sulejmani needs to play full time on the wing with El Hamdaoui and Suarez (but this may be decided by the Federation if they suspend Luis for the 4 matches that I've seen mentioned). Since Lindgren is now also out, it makes sense to move Urby to the midfield with the license to attack. This could provide more balance and as a result goals that are sorely missing.

Suarez is suspended by Ajax for two league games (VVV-Venlo and NEC). He does need some rest...
Appie, stay strong !
