There have been so many games this season where they should have grabbed the points. Now that it is all or nothing they are failing miserably. I can understand their frustration however if they can't even beat Sparta then they have no business playing champions league or any type of European football for that matter.

If it wasn't for Saurez, we would have ended this season on a much lower position in the ranking. We really need him next year. On the other hand, again no champions league football next season (big loss of income) and they can use his transfer to close the budget.

Sums it up really. Chance to win back a little bit of respect - and what happens? Sparta are a mediocre football side in a mediocre competition. So why do we make their defence look like AC Milan of 1989?

I feel sorry for Vermeer, absolutely no help at all from his defense. I hope that Van Basten does the honorable thing tomorrow and tenders his resignation. He's lost control of this team and from the past three matches, it's clear that he can't get them ready to play. Nice UEFA run this year against some good teams but that doesn't cut it when you can't keep your team in contention for the Eredivisie.

I don't think they will fire him unfortunately. I also doubt that van Basten will resign so chances are that we are stuck with him. There has been absolutely no progress in this team and I very much doubt that next season will be any different.
