I think Enoh was great, but Urby was my MOTM. He played a decisive hand in three of the four goals, so I will cut him some slack on the crosses/corners (which I thought were so-so, though not horrible). Without his slide rule pass to Rommedahl, his awesome chip-to-himself-and-shoot and his long pass to spring Leonardo, it's a 1-1 game. Furthermore, his work rate and aggression were, as in the Twente game, fantastic to see.The Purple Cow schreef:I didn't think Urby did all that well, his crossing, and particular his corners were really poor. Enoh was by a distance MOTM.
I agree with everything else that Ko says, particularly about Pieters, how inept do you have to be to make Rommedahl look like a serious attacking option?
Not to take anything away from Enoh, though. With guys like Enoh, Oleguer and Vermaelen, I have a lot more faith in our defense. He is a rare example of good scouting by Ajax. He seems to have come up out of nowhere, and if he continues like he is, he will be very valuable to Ajax, both from a team-success perspective and from the prospective of a potential transfer (although I'd like to see the team keep him for a long time).
