We do seem slightly better ever since Frank put Anita in. Well maybe it could be due to De Graafschap's tiredness as well.

Ok, had a very poor stream today s maybe my evaluation if this game could be a little off. Loved Mickey and Boerrgter, we have found are wingers. Kobi was good, love his movements though he didn't get chance to shoot on goal but its still early hope he doesn't get frustrated. Thought De jong was a little irrelevant today, and we played much better with Anita on the field. Theo...I think he had a Beckham/Lampard type of game, only menacing with a dead ball. Great goal nonetheless. Poor defending lead to de Grafschaap's goal we all know that, and we all know its something we have to address. Three point in the bag with 1-4 this is not bad!!

Playing Blind at CB speaks to the need for a CB. I think this is far and away our biggest need. Or, walk and chew gum at same time...cb and Jesper Cillesen .

Its at the Arena, i'd be more worried if the game was at the Abe Lenstra. You do have a point though...we are very very thin on defense and sooner or later this could develop into a big problem. But lets worry about that later, for today the job was well done and a great season for sure is ahead

I've been saying about the need for a CB for a while, de Boer should ban Toby from watching (or thinking he's) Gerard Pique and concentrate on defending. I feel a solid CB will make Toby and Jan and effectively the team much better.

The midfield chemistry will come even if we continue with the Janssen, de Jong, Eriksen combination. Although I think the need for a designated DM is high for the way we play. If de Boer uses Anita in midfield then the need for a striker is lessened with de Jong being on the bench.

A good job done and an easy win in the end. To repeat what has been said we need a 2nd striker and could do worse that Poepon another from our youths. He was lively and I bet he would do a job as sub or when Siggy is missing. As for centre back well I will just repeat what I posted a couple of days ago , we need another spare centre back. Blind is not good enough and the fact that he got picked ahead of Ooijer suggests the old guy will only be used as sub . A good attacking team would have ripped our defence apart today . Looking at Vermeer makes me realise why Steks was so good.

Sorry for being abit negative after all we are top of the table and Boerrigter and Sulejmani were very good and Sithorrson played well imo . Midfield is better when a defensive player is there ,hopefully Anita . I enjoyed watching real footy again after all those pre season games and the mickey mouse cup last week.

Agree with everything said, Anita definitely made our midfield look better. What worries me is that i haven't heard a single rumour about a centre back coming our way, nothing, not even something silly. I'd like to know what is FdB's evaluation of van der heijden, I rate him high enough to back up Vertonghen but it seems like tht is not a widespread feeling. oh well will see what happens.

A few things...

1. Boerrigter looked good, not just because he scored. This is bad news for Ebecilio. I prefer Boerrigter.

2. I still don't think he's a '16 million-euro player', but you have to respect Micky Sulejmani for the way he's playing right now. He's energetic, he looks fit, he's got a certain swagger and he does decisive thingies. Hats off for that. It is very obvious that he took a good look in the mirror and decided: hey, this is nobody's fault but my own, I have to start working my balls off - simple as that. Respect for that. Keep it up, Micky.

3. One of the people who might lose their spot in the team is Siem de Jong, if you ask me. I'm not talking about missing that penno, shit happens, but with Theo Janssen and Thulani Serero competition is quite stiff in midfield. I don't think it looks good for Siem.

4. We need an extra striker (if Sigthorsson gets injured, Siem de Jong is the best #9 we have, probably) and we need an extra central defender. Frank de Boer wants a right-footer and a left-footer in the heart of defence, which means that if Vertonghen gets injured the best we have is Daley Blind (Ooijer is a right-footer, which means that Frank de Boer will only use him instead of Toby).

Clearly de Boer does not see V d Heijden ,who is left footed, as the spare defender to Vertoghen !! VdH I assume is still more a defensive midfielder!
