Nice! Managed to forget that 1430 in Alkmaar is 1330 in London so only turned up for the second half.
By the sound of it that's just in time though, Koeman is sending AZ right down the toilet isn't he

4-2 final score, great come back and nice play from van der wiel. AZ scored a nice bicycle goal in the very end but CONTINUING THE MARCH WE SHALL!!!
For FC Dordrecht it might be wise to let some players (Suarez, De Zeeuw especially) rest up before the Feyenoord game

Quite. That's what I meant - kind of.Kowalczyk schreef:How in the name of God can a team be so apathetic in an away game against the reigning champions, the club that (more than any other Eredivisie club) has been playing like we want to play in recent seasons? AZ are going through bad times, with DSB and all that, so you knew they were going to be more determined than ever. You knew it.
You can lose an away game at AZ. That can happen, 'cos they're a good football team. Ask Arsenal. But how the FUCK can you go out there and not be 100% focused and determined...? Against AZ!
THIS IS THE FUCKING DUTCH CHAMPION OF 2009 (THAT'S THIS YEAR!) WE'RE PLAYING! IF YOU'RE NOT CONCENTRATED AND DETERMINED AGAINST THIS LOT, THEN AGAINST WHICH OPPONENT WILL YOU BE?
I expect every Ajax player to give EVERYTHING (and 10% more!) in the second half. This is a top fixture. An absolute cracker against the reigning champions of Holland. I want to see (for 45 minutes plus added time, starting now) that Ajax are aware of that, for FUCK'S SAKE!
Thank you.

ahahha ko you must have been in the dressing room with the players, don't you?
anyway: last years we would never have been able to change a game from one half to the other like this. and the reason has a name: martin jol, let me tell you.

What a second half I am sure Jol must have told them what Ko has posted!!! A different team once we
scored and a great result. The TV were so busy repeating our 4th they did not show their goal live I wasn't sure what had happened.
Would agree we would never have come back like this last year. Now beat the scum next week.

I could see just 50 minutes of this match and i had to go out. Leaving i thought - we fucked up. I don't remember that we would came from behind against a decent team in past 2,3 years. And what a fucking sweet surprise when i came home and find out the result! this is really great!!!
P.S. After this game, i don't consider AZ as contenders for the title anymore. 14 point from 1 place is to much for them. In your face Koeman!

Well, Ko....are you satisfied with the outcome?
I agree with you, whatever was in the half Time cuppa, it's well worth marketing....or is it a case of...we'll keep it ourselves and win some more glorious matches!!
Let's make sure the Tea Lady's got plenty on tap for next week's game!!!!

Suarez's second goal (or more specifically Van der Wiel's set up) in some ways is a classic Ajax goal - some sass, a little arrogance, youth and style all rolled in to one. Nice to see that kind of play making a return to Amsterdam.
Also, am I the only one who thought that the AZ kits looked really good without sponsor logos on them?

Re: 25 Oct 2009: AZ - Ajax
Missed the whole thing - I hate it when real life gets in the way of Ajax fandom - but I certainly enjoyed the highlights on YouTube. (Well, most of them: can we PLEASE stop giving up goals in stoppage time??? )
Overall, though, this has to count as a solid win; have to agree with those who argue that last year's squad couldn't have turned it around like that.

Re: 25 Oct 2009: AZ - Ajax
Trully Vd Wiels move was impressive and the quick passing game is CLASSICAL Ajax. Only with a team that stays solid for 2-3 years we might crawl back to the big European competitions as 1/4 finalists or betteraveslacker schreef:Suarez's second goal (or more specifically Van der Wiel's set up) in some ways is a classic Ajax goal - some sass, a little arrogance, youth and style all rolled in to one. Re: 25 Oct 2009: AZ - Ajax
Official report : The tide turned after half time. Gabri came in for Marko Pantelic, giving Ajax an extra controlling presence on midfield. As a result, De Zeeuw was able to play his game
Great coaching.

Re: 25 Oct 2009: AZ - Ajax
It was a fantastic substitution indeed.
Paradoxically, I thought Pantelic was Ajax's only okay player in the first half. He was the only one who did what he was supposed to do, if you ask me. But Jol could see through his performance as an individual and took him off - and there you go, the engine started to run. A very good move, tactically. De Zeeuw was fantastic in the second half.
Ronald Koeman, on the other hand, flabbergasted me once again by taking off the three players that were (in my opinion) AZ's best in the first half: Martens, Holman and later Dembélé. I didn't understand that at all.
