03 May 2006: FC Groningen - Ajax

If Blind stays, then the pressure will be on, when I say pressure I mean the dutch title, semi finals of the gatorade cup and/or semi finals of the champions league. I think he is only capable of the former, so it may well be in his own interest to leave on a high note. i.e. Gatorade cup and play off win....cheers

The latest team news...
In Groningen Ajax will have to do without Maduro, Trabelsi, Rosales, Grygera and Manucharyan. Steven Pienaar is suspended (last game tonight; available for the cup final). Wesley Sneijder is fit.
Danny Blind said that Maduro might be back in time for the cup final. It seems highly unlikely that the other injury cases will see return to action this season.
Which means, in practice, that Trabelsi has played his last game for Ajax. And Grygera, too, probably. The club are generally expected to sell him this summer.

The expectation is that they will start furiously. It would be great if Ajax stay calm and hit them hard on counter-attack really early in the game. They would then require four goals. One Ajax goal and it's over.
So, my suggestion is: let's not lean back and wait until the 'storm' dies down, but let's keep our eyes open and try to attack as soon as possible. They will be offensive in the opening phae, but they'll also be vulnerable.
I have a feeling that we'll kill this game really early.

Fucking relief... Orgasmic feeling with Wesley's goal, damn the kid can shoot. Well were in The Champs League, after this perfomance Danny Blind is on the way out and he knows it, his face said it all. I hope Bouckhari's red card means no Gatorade final for him, he was plain utter shit.I think every one will end up happy ;)
Give Groningen a lot of credit they scared the shit out off me, i've got no nails left and that includes my toe nails !!!!!!
