One word and one word only: HEROES What a match. Ajax carried the game to Juve in the second half an really dominated the play. Yes, we had some VAR decisions but that's nothing new to this club. I'm so proud of this team as they show no fear and can beat any side in Europe. Lots of €s will flow now from this win into the Ajax treasury. Perhaps some players reconsider leaving, who knows. ten Hag gets it all right again and special props to Daley Sinkgraven who played more minutes tonight than in the whole of a year.

Player Ratings:

Onana (7) - surprisingly faced very few difficult chances
Mazraoui (NR) - only on for 20 minutes before having to come off; hope he is OK
Blind (9.5) - unbelievably fine match and the replay definitely showed that it was not a hand ball at the end
de Ligt (10) - best defender on the field and got the match and tie winner as well
Veltman (8) - thought he would have trouble tonight and I was wrong
Schöne (6.5) - too slow on the night and lucky not to get a Yellow card
de Jong (7) - kept calm and had some good passes
van de Beek (8.5) - all over the field both offensively and defensively
Neres (6) - not his best match as there was too much indecision
Tadic (7) - did what needed to be done in the middle
Ziyech (7) - marks for defense and boy was he just a millimeter off side on the goal that was called back
Sinkgraven (7.5) - yes, we were all worried and no, we didn't need to be; fine match
Huntelaar (NR) - on late
Magallan (NR) - did have one nice tackle in the brief time he was on the pitch

Agree with all of you - Veltman and Sinkgraven really put in a great shift. For someone who's been out for a year and more, both did amazingly well. If SInkgraven discovers his 2017 Europa League form, he could easily be Nico's replacement.

The VAR non-call on Blind was correct. It hit his stomach.

Some players may well choose to stay a year longer.
