Well at least I have had a good football birthday as we held on. Raffie van der Vaart is 35 today and Carel Eiting 20.
Back to the game I thought our defence was weaker after Kristensen came on .Veltman was weak in the centre and looked worse at that position than Frenkie. Surely Wober should have come on as he is a good CD.
Neres and Kluivert both faded in the 2nd half and thus Ziyech was pushed up front and Frenkie in MF . Like most of us Frenkie has to be a MF and Schone a sub.
Although he got few clear chances KJH worked very hard ,was back in defence at times ,holding the ball and his vast experience is making him a good signing.
PSV dont look like they are going to falter ,playing poorly but winning. But we have struggled since Christmas and like last Sunday today we were all nervous until the final whistle.Even v Roda we let them back into it at 3-2.
PS.Off subject I am taking my wife to Rome in 2 weeks for her 60th so she has agreed we can go to Amsterdam in April. I will hope to take in the VVV game so need to make a decision this week so as to get a ticket sorted. (Like me she loves Amsterdam and I will take her to Keukenhof Gardens and we both want to go back to magical Edam)

I'm not a great fan of Kristensen so far. He loses the ball on offense and gets beaten easily on defense, so I'm not sure what the point of him is. I would also point the finger at him (at least partially) on the Twente goal because he didn't track the runner who ended up scoring, when both CDs clearly had their hands full with the Twente striker. He's only just arrived so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now...

Meant to say yesterday the camera focused on Davy Klaassen, looking fed up. I bet he wished he had stayed with us as he is not even getting on the Everton bench now.
