Thanks to Groningen we are now two points behind PSV with only a few matches before the winter break. The away fixture of ADO has sometimes been difficult and with a midweek CL match Ajax will have to stay alert. PSV are home to Feyenoord, an interesting fixture in itself!

de Boer want's to put some pressure on PSV and with a win tomorrow Ajax can take over as league leaders. PSV won't play until Tuesday when they host Feyenoord.

First of course Ajax needs to take care of business in Den Haag. They usually give Ajax a difficult time and although Den Haag is very close to the relegation zone they will give Ajax a battle for sure. They don't score a lot of goals, only 18, but when they do it's usually their CF Kramer who leads the league in scoring with 9. At 1.95 m he's quite a target.

So the question is who will de Boer play in defense? Veltman is available but I hope that the central pair of Denswill/van der Hoorn will be in there. Both deserve to start, imo, after their performance against PSG. van der Hoorn would match up better against Kramer as well.

Ha -- this time is great for me -- missed the last two games because they are on at like 3 or 4 in the morning around here, so I was happy to see the start time. I'm going to get to see a game at last -- hope it ends with us in the top spot.

Ado have come in with a very physical game. No surprise really. Nice to see that our guys have kept calm and been able to give some back to the ado thughs. I wouldn't be surprised if see a red card today. Just hope it's for the home side. We're the better side as far as technique and skill. Hope it will show on the score board in the end.

Sounds ridiculous but with the rest of the team playing well would we be better off with Siggy in there to finish off the chances...? Milik may be better for link-up but he's not much of a finisher (so far).

Decent enough first half against a team that wants to play rough. We used to have difficulty against this style of play but it looks like that is a thing of the pass. Very nice first goal and a couple more half chances. Defense is doing well both pressing and defending against their tall striker. It's going to continue to be a rough game and the club will have to defend well to take all the points.

Milik has had 2 chances but made nothing of them.Beautiful goal from us.This is the type of game we should win easy but we need a 2nd early as our defence are bound to make a cock up at some stage.

Milik loused up a third promising opportunity near the end of the half -- don't know what's the matter with him -- he seems so indecisive where a quick judgement is required.

The Dutch pundits are discussing ADO's tackling. Kramer's tackle on Klaassen might have got him a direct red and there were two other dodgy tackles over on our left wing on Kishna and Andersen (not sure who the culprits were) both of which escaped yellow. Funny how everyone knows it's going to happen but the ref can't stop it.

I don't understand Siggie's sub and I certainly don't understand Van Der Hoorn for Moisander. We lost our offensive drive after he took off Kishna.
