Probably because Jaïro Riedewald will be used as a defender, I hope he will play as leftback defender.

In my opinion FdB will show guts when he decides to put this 17 year old youngster in the line-up.

It also shows that other young players that if they keep their nose to the grindstone they have a chance at first team football. Maybe they won't make the same foolish mistake as Buoy and Kishna and forsake Ajax.

10 minutes in and we are playing like crap -- haven't put 3 passes together since the start. Seems like we are taking them for granted and they are making us pay.

That attack with a fantastic pass from Schöne was a great one. Klaassen messed up delivering it to Kolbeinn but Ajax completely outplayed the Cambuur defense.

Interesting challenge for Ajax, this Ligeon throw in was pathetic. But I expect us to grow in this game and then finish it. Cambuur Leeuwarden is clearly a tougher opponent than Ado den Haag and NAC Breda.

The game against Milan might still have some effect physically and mentally. Hope they will bounce back and start playing. There is three points at stake. Who knows how crucial they might be?

After doing better after the 25 minute marker, they finally strung some nice passes together leading to a nicely put away goal by Schone.

Other than the goal by Schöne from Klaassen it was a very poor display of football. Slow buildups were ineffective and the passing was really bad. A bit fortunate not to have conceded a goal on the free header from the Cambuur player who wasn't marked at all. The club is playing down to the poor quality of the opposition. Let's hope they wake up from their slumber and put on a better display in the second half. At this point only van Rhijn is having a decent match.

not alot to say for the first 38 mins but a superb pass and well taken goal by Schone. This should be a win but we need something more up front. Schone and Andersen are midfielders and Siggy is just too slow

1. Playing against tougher/deep defending opponents, requires someone to open up the defence. 2 ways for this. Quick combinations or a dribbling type of player. We only have the first option.

2. Any type of number 9 we have used in the past 3 years seems useless because of the above. We can't expect them to do the job, so they always seem to end up beaten by the defenders. Last time we had another option and our attacker was first scorer was as you guessed Suarez and Huntelaar. Now that our players aren't of the same caliber, this can't happen.
Suarez usually split open the defence and set up either Huntelaar, Pantelic or whoever. So we'll always end up whining about our No. 9.

3. Andersen looks out of the game completely. Many reasons about that. Makes Fischer seem like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cambuur is making some lineup changes -- I think Frank needs to do the same -- got to shake the boys out of their lethargy.

Why he didn't bring on Poulsen and move Blind back to LB at the 60-65 minute mark is beyond me. Blame FdB's lineup decisions as well as the crappy football for this one.

Relieved that we won, although it was not a totally deserved one -- in a way, it is a little bit hard to feel good about it.

Ritzmaier red (2 x yellow) on 91' and Davy Klaassen the hero on 92'. Cambuur hard done by, but that's football.

How on earth did we win that .Their goal was coming and it was no surprise and we looked like hanging on but Blind's shot rebounded to Klaassen and that was it . The 2 goals were our only chances a very poor game but 3 massive points.
