Lots of possession but little made of it. There should be 3-4 more goals on the board given the lack of quality from the opposition. Vertonghen must think he is a midfielder going forward at almost every opportunity; maybe he can set a record for most times hitting the woodwork in a single match. Daley Blind is having a nice match on the left side going forward and picking out the right options. In general I think the team is sleepwalking through this one up to now.

what a great night ,I have been here for all 90 mins finally taken my eyes off the stream . After the 2nd the game was over and we played it as if it were an exhibition .

A decent victory despite the squandered chances. We can now chalk up title number 31 and thank all the players for never losing hope despite how we all felt after the second Utrecht disaster. We'll lose a couple of starters over the summer and some of the 2nd team players who stepped in when called upon (remember our pint size striker Lodeiro who did yeoman work with little support?).

I can't really go overboard on player ratings since the opposition was quite poor and we really should have done much better but here they are>

Vermeer (7) - kept a clean sheet and had a couple of semi-tough chances but otherwise was not troubled
Blind (7) - really didn't have to defend much and was quite good going forward and delivering the ball
Vertonghen (7) - too bad one of the post shots didn't go in, it would have really been great to see the supporters go wild in the stands
Alderweireld (7) - good match again and will be the pillar of the defense when Jan leaves
Van der Wiel (7) - has fully recovered from the injury and played well today
Anita (7) - I want to see him in Red and White for the next six seasons dominating the midfield
Eriksen (7) - some really sublime passes today and I suspect he will return next season to continue his development
Janssen (7) - decent game by his standards
Ebecilio (7) - OK, came off for Sigthorrson
de Jong (7) - first goal was a bit of garbage, second goal good turn and hit; should have had a couple of more
Aissati (7) - decent match and has kept his head, making the best of the situation he put himself in last season
Sigthorrson (7) - encouraging to see some good chances on goal from him
Oojier (7) - nice to see him don the capatain's armband when he came in, had a couple of good takes on the ball
Enoh (7) - another workmanlike performance
