Okay, so what saved his life was the fact that Vitesse had a defibrillator available at the ground. Ajax's doctor, with the assistance of his Vitesse colleague, had to use it four times. Sno really flatlined and was actually gone for about fifteen minutes, according to the reports.

Now he's doing well: he can speak normally, his memory seems to work properly and he has a normal heartbeat. Obviously, they're screening him 24/7 now. He had no history of heart failure whatsoever.

He's not at the Amsterdam Medical Centre and it was just announced they're gonna keep him there for two weeks, in order to find out how this happened.

I have been away since Monday morning and other than knowing the score at Real I have not had any internet news so this is big shock to read . My thoughts go out to Evander and I hope he recovers and is able to play football again.

Formally, Sno is still an Ajax player, but he has already left the club. His contract will officially expire on 30 June and will not be renewed.

Which makes him a Former Ajax Player.
