Thought we need apost re injured players as we always have alot.

Sarpong, Delorge and Leonardo are all back in training.

Anita is reported to be out for 3 months , not clear what is wrong but it appears to be his hip.

And just for a change Manucharyan is injured again after just 3 sub appearances for the reseves. This guy is never fit!!

Hopefully Gabri and VdWeil will be fit for Sunday.

Any word on Davids? I had read in the Dutch forums that he is progressing but the team wants him to wait until the new year just to be safe.

Txt message from someone at the Young Ajax - Young Groningen game:

"Leonardo returned after a long injury time (9 months) at Jong Ajax. They won 0-3 in Groningen!! Well done, boys."

Wonder if this means he goes straight into the Ajax 1 squad for Sunday or if he'll get another reserve outing?

Davids is likely to be fit for Dubai in a couple of weeks.

Still on the injured list Vermaelen, Delorge ,V d Weil ,Anita ,Manucharyan.
plus Donald now injured.
K-Dehli is also doubtful for Sunday and Sarpong and Leonardo are just coming back from longterm.

Hope to see Sarpong getting some playing time on sunday

Altighty can someone give me an update on injuries for the Twente game......who`s in ? Who's out ?.....

Out for the next game : Thomas Vermaelen, Laurent Delorge, Edgar Manucharyan, Mitchell Donald, Gregory van der Wiel, Vurnon Anita, Edgar Davids and Leonardo.

Gabri a doubt for Venlo but at least Maduro will be available

Manucharyan hurt? I don't believe it.

Report today shows Van Der Heijden and Delorge will be back soon and also Anita is nearing fitness.

No news about Van Der Weil . Only others injured Mitea and Krohn -Dehli
both not due back for a few weeks and not likely to play for the first team again.

I don't see how he is of much use, unless Suarez, Leonardo, Kennedy, Rommedahl and Luque all get hurt.

Can't he play centrally behind the striker (#10)? Be nice to have some creativity in there, especially if he helped on defense as well, unlike Perez

I would love to see him behind the strikers or on the wings...

Perez has been playing more defense than he gets credit for, imo.

Apart from Luque who is out for 2 weeks the only injured player from our friendlies is Jan -Arie Van der Heijden. I believe he injured aknee, any reports of how serious and how long he is out.?

Only others not played due to injuries are Lindgren and Sulejmani but they will both play soon.

Hoping the best for Jan Arie van der Heijden. It doesn't appear that he's quite ready to break into the Ajax 1 starting line-up, but he sure would've had chances to gain valuable experience in the friendlies while the V & V boys are away in Beijing. And he looks to be first team reserve, which meant lots of playing time at that level.

Luque? Is he still ours? As for Sulejmani, 16.25 million reasons to let him progress to fitness at just the right pace. As for Rasmus Lindgren, I have no opinion except get well soon.

Sarpong went off with ashoulder injury at Cardiff.No idea how serious it is.

Mitchell Donald is evidently out for the season with a knee injury obtained on Saturday.did not look bad at the time but he must have twisted it badly. Hope the lad gets better soon. Terrible luck for him having just broken into the first team squad.

anyone knows what happened to van der heijden?

Aissati injured his right knee in the Jong Ajax game against Jong Volendam and will be out for a few weeks. Seemed like a few of us were hoping he'd see more action against Roda this weekend, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
