According to reports in Holland, Ajax are lining up Nikola Zigic as a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is expected to leave in the summer.
The Crvena Zvezda giant is fast attracting interest around Europe and it is thought the Amsterdam club are leading the hunt.
Swedish hit-man Ibrahimovic is odds-on to leave the Amsterdam ArenA in the summer, with Italy the most likely destination.
Ibrahimovic is currently recovering from surgery on a persistent groin injury but a move appears to be in the pipeline, with Juventus and Milan credited with an interest.
Zigic has a colossus presence up front and is one of the Serbo-Montenegrin outfit's hottest prospects.

Ajax are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu.
Reports in the Sunday Express say that the Dutch side are keen to sign a pre-contract with Kanu when he returns from the African Nations Cup.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has told the Nigerian international that he is free to leave Highbury in the summer

It is still a rumour...
But I would love to see Kanu coming back to Ajax. Although we cannot be sure how good he still is (ignoring the discussion about his actual age). He shows great things at Arsenal - when he is allowed to play - so he might certainly be a major player for Ajax again.
However, sofar the youngsters have also proven their abilities. So we'll just wait and see what Van Gaal is going to do in the coming months.

Ajax supposedly tried to buy Kanu before they went after anastopoulos. Wenger wouldn't cooperate! X'C Which off course shows that the stories that Kanu has become an average player are complete bullsh*t!!
Ik ga de rest van het seizoen consequent 4-3-3 spelen, en Sonck stel ik nooit meer op als rechtsbuiten en van Damme niet als linksback..of toch weer wel, of toch weer niet..??

That would be a shame... if only to see my buddy Nwankwo making backflips of happiness here at the AT Bulletin Board...Nwankwo-fan schreef:Ajax supposedly tried to buy Kanu before they went after anastopoulos.

Van Gaal expressed that the followed procedure was not exactly his when someone under his responsibility enters a club like Ajax. By the way: former Ajax player Sjaak Swart was pointing the technical staff of Ajax to Anastasiou. But also Van Gaal understood that this was an emergency situation when coach Koeman came asking him for a striker after the injuries of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sonck and Van der Vaart. Prior to the signing of Anastasiou Van Gaal had been in contact with Arsene Wenger to ask for the possibilities for a transfer of former Ajax player Nwankwo Kanu. The striker of Arsenal didn't get any cooperation.
(nog best lastig dat vertalen... :-)

But the international transfer window was already closed......
The "ITW" closes at January 31st.....
So, in my opinion, signing Kanu wasn't realistic.....
Does anybody knows the exact regulation about international transfers outside the transfer window......
I thought that was only possible with tranfers OUT.....
