This dude didn't even have his own thread yet.

He surely deserves one, especially after yesterday's performance against Heerenveen: he played instead of Gabri and he did well enough. We can expect him against Slavia Prague too, I would say.

I guess Delorge was not well received by many Ajax fans, that will surely explain how long it took for him to get his own thread here haha. But he had a good game against Heerenveen and hopefully we will hear more about him this season. With the midfield crisis were suffering, I really hope this lad can step it up.

I seem to be defending Urzaiz a lot but he only came on for a few minutes last night and I hear he's not fully fit.

For the record, I actually think Delorge was far worse than Colin last night...Colin looked a little shaky but Delorge looked like he'd never played the game before......

According to reports in the Dutch press, ADO Den Haag are trying to get Laurent Delorge back. They are reportedly hoping that Ajax will let him go on a free transfer.

We signed him up when ADO Den Haag went down to the First Division. Delorge was their best player and he had a clause in his contract: free transfer in the event of relegation.

He didn't cost us much; he's not gonna make us much.

I have to say: the handful of times I saw him in action, I thought he was not that bad at all. Not a player that's gonna make Ajax a better team, but as far as I can remember he was always a 6/10 or 7/10.

Oh OK, so he hasn't ended up costing us too badly. I honestly can't remember seeing him play more than once or twice...

He's got 6 months left on his contract, so we might as well let him go, just to get him off the payrole (he wasn't a big earner either, by the way).

Danny Blind was quoted in the papers saying that Delorge was always very positive and 100% professional. Ajax appreciate that and will not obstruct a transfer.

I'm not sure they could say the same thing about one of their keeper.

Delorge played 6 games, got injured and was then dropped to Jong Ajax but he was always positive in all the articles that I read. Even when he was talking about his role as a defender of Jong Ajax...

Ajax Inside has an item about Laurent Delorge going transfer free to Roda JC . Roda is in trouble and can probably use just about any help it can get.

Yeah, the official website has it now as well. Just says Ajax and Roda have agreed and he's joining them immediately. Can't imagine we made much, if anything, from the deal but it's got to continue to make it through ten Cate's surplus signings.

Oh well, good luck to the guy. Can't remember ever seeing him play but scrolling up the thread I must have done as I slagged him off .

I remember him being far and away Den Haag's best player the season they were relegated but he's had a singularly unsuccessful time at Ajax. At least he should get a game at Roda.

So, Roda it is. He penned a contract for 2.5 years. I hope he can make the difference against PSV in his first league game...
