A very good morning for Ajax fans today,Gravenberch has extended to 2023.So both Raiola boys have extended in 24 hours.
Press were on about Raiola taking him to Italy and talks stopping with Ajax but his father and brother have always said he wants to stay.

We must wait for Brobbey and Hansen and the others to follow.

Truly great news. However I feel that Raiola will force a move next year with 2 years left on the contract.

I get New York Times soccer columnist Rory Smith's newsletter each Friday. He discusses the transfer market in Europe this morning. There are not many teams who are in a position to spend money right now. UEFA may relax the fake Financial Fairplay Rules to compensate but I think the days of big payouts for young talent are over for at least a year of more. No team will be getting any game day revenue until sometime next year depending on what the public health officials in various Euro countries say. I don't know whether the television revenue will hold up or not. Bayern are already drawing back from spending money as are Liverpool who are waiting for the end of fiscal year finances to come in.

Klaas-Jan signs for another year ,good news. He wont get 90 mins in a game but he is still good enough as a sub and will be a mentor for Traore, Hansen,Brobbey.

Have to say he has been my favourite player of the 21 st century,I followed him at Schalke. I dont really hero worship at my age and the only other footballer in the last 20 years I really have found very special is of course Appie.

I like the Huntelaar extension as well. Still trains hard and comes through almost every time he's called upon. From what I've read - its lower salary and with the understanding that he will have to play behind Traore/Tadic and maybe Brobbey.

Don't know what's happening with Brobbey's extension, but I trust in Overmars!

The 2003 and 2004 age groups should still see some more contracts.

Unuvar and Rensch ,both only 17,are extending their contracts by a year to 2023.You cannot sign for more than 3 years until 18 so this is a good move as they are now contracted until 20. Both have Unuvar's uncle as agent I believe so a bit easier than with Raiola .

Thanks for reminding us about this rule. I was truly wondering why both of them were only extending for a year.

It's official! Both Unuvar & Rensch have extended till 2023 -

Just hope Hansen,Brobbey, Taylor, Salah-Eddine and the Timbers follow with extended contracts.

All very quiet on the extensions to the 6 young talents.No rumours at all about other teams wanting them although every player in our first team squad has been subject of rumour!

Gut feeling they are all staying but just seeing how pre season goes. J Timber and Taylor will be in the first team squad.

Kenneth Taylor has signed a new contract that will be valid till June 2024.

Good news on Taylor.Only J Timber on Int duty this week so was hoping one or 2 would be signing extensions.

Lang has been offered a 4 year extension. No news on any of our youngsters

I read that as well and think it's an interesting move. I'm assuming that he's the first backup for the LW spot after Tadic/Promes.

Jurrien Timber signed a new contract to 2024 today which is good news. No news on brother Quinten. I think Brobbey will sign and stay but Hansen is not around at present ,not sure if he is injured and think he will be sold in the next 2 weeks. Just a hunch as I have not seen any rumours.

Sontje Hansen is signing a new contract to 2023 which is great news. Just Brobbey to come as I expect Q Timber and Salah-Eddine to extend in due course .Both concentrating on getting fit at present.

Excellent news indeed. When is expected to be ready to fight for places in the first team?

Hansen will likely just play Jong for most of the season and get some sub games in towards the end of the season.

I read that earlier as well. It will be sweet if both Nico and Onana extend and stay the year. By the looks of it - that does seem like a distinct possibility now.

Wonderful news Van Axel Dongen is signing for Ajax , to 2023 next week when he is 16.Turned down Chelsea. A fine prospect
and has made a good decision.

We are finally getting to see the benefits of Dutch clubs being able to give contracts to 16 year olds. I read somewhere that this has now been lowered to 15 year olds.

We can now sign kids aged 15 under contract.We have a few 15 year old talents ie born 2005.

Tagliafico has extended by a year to 2023.He is likely to go next summer but this extra year should mean we get near the 25m price we originally agreed with Nico.

We need to do a similar deal with Onana.Last summer 35m was quoted but next summer with 1 year left dont expect more than 10 to 15m.

Meanwhile Brobbey still says an extension is near but how long does it take to agree an 18 year old Jong Ajax player?
