Rumours of us wanting Alireza J are made up we have zero interest. Many daft rumours since the season ended with ins and outs but this must be the daftest. He doesn't even make the Brighton bench at present!

Strong rumours of us going after Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg who has 1 year left on his contract at Southampton. Apparently its us and Spurs who are after him. We can offer him CL football whereas Spurs can offer him mid-table EPL status

He's available for about 13-15 million and plays DM/AM. Haven't seen a lot of him TBH, but remember hearing about him years ago when he was at Bayern.

Is Klaassen the Hojberg alternative?

I watched maybe a half dozen Werder matches this season and Klaassen't ball skills are much better. He is not longer an attacking player but part of a two man deep lying MF. I thought he was best suited to this position when he was at Ajax. There was one point when he was struggling with an injury that he was moved back to a holding MF position. My own feeling is Ajax really need to stay true and focus on youth players. I don't see Klaassen filling any urgent needs.

Yeah, mixed feelings for me too about this potential arrival. What you do get is some of the fire that we lose with vd Beek's departure though.

Looks like we are about to buy a 19 year old Ghanaian forward cum midfielder Mohammed Kudos from a Danish side for 9m euros.
This clearly is no rumour but seems like its about to happen.

Seems like he is one of the best young talents in the Danish league.

i actually saw this guy play last august when i was in copenhagen. only thing i recall is that he is very quick and the copenhagen defense had trouble containing him. hope it not another hasasne bande.

Let's see him play at least! Bande didn't get the chance with that awful injury

Like most of you (assumption), I only ever heard of this guy for the first time yesterday. Seems like a good prospect and I like that he could be Donny's replacement next year.

I feel we're set with some combination of Tadic/Traore/Promes & Brobbey (if not rented out) at CF.

Also, I find it interesting that a 9/10 million $ transaction doesn't seem to shock our systems anymore.

Sounds a good buy we will see.

We just need a replacement for Ziyech ,Donny if he goes ,and a DM as Martinez will play LB. Defence where do i start!! Blind Martinez are good but Schuurs J Timber and Mazraoui ok as back up. A quality right CD is needed and there is no experienced back up on the left side.

Ps sorry if I am repeating myself but once Donny goes we have quantity but no quality in Mf and although everyone knocks him Veltman still does a good job for us,we will miss him.

16 year old Danish talent Jeppe Kjaer is about to sign for 2m ,he is a winger and will be in Jong Ajax squad.

The 16 year old Danish lad Jeppe Kjaer Jensen has signed for 3 years ,actually signs from 7 September 2020 to June 2023.He will start in our U18 team but probably move to Jong.

Welcome and hope he develops into a first teamer.

Imagine what is going through the minds of Brobbey and Traore. Their progress will be stunted, Brobbey's agent will announce at the beginning of 2021 that he will sign for e.g. Juventus, PSG or R.Madrid (just a few of his favourite clients) Traore will end up going on loan to e.g. Vitesse in January. The signing of Suarez isn't ideal. Ajax already have great forwards, Promes, Tadic, Neres, that is a potent strike force. Not to mention their back ups, Noa Lang and Antony on the flanks. Did I mention Labyad (as a CF)? Why isn't Overmars focusing on, at the very least, a left back! Ajax are lop sided at the back.

I see that Messi has officially put in a transfer request. According to his contract he is eligible to leave on a free transfer assuming the courts find that the Spanish season ends this month because of COVID-19. What better club for him to finish out his career than Ajax!!!! Overmars should contact him ASAP>

Think we need to buy some left sided defenders.Nico will go and Daley could be out for a while. Even if Daley is fit we only have Martinez who is left footed. Rensch can play on his left and looks very good but is only 17 .

It's going to be chaos in Barcelona over the next few weeks. If Donny or Nico are still thinking of going to Barca - that is straight up crazy.
