Johan Derksen, who brought this news into the world, made a mistake. It is not Mads Laudrup, who is currently playing in the Royal League for Kopenhagen and has a contract there, but his younger brother Andreas who is at Ajax. Andreas is a leftfooted winger and with the A1 right now.Kowalczyk schreef:A third Laudrup at Ajax...?
Perhaps! Mads Laudrup, 17 year-old son of Michael, is currently on a try-out in Amsterdam in an attempt to win a contract. Real Madrid are also interested in landing the Danish youngster, but according to the reports his father would prefer to see him at Ajax (better chances over here).

World soccer mag in May did an article on famous sons and Mads was one of them Stated Real Madrid interested etc.
It mentions the 2 sons of Michael and of Andreas its says a couple of years younger than Mads but just as good. Some pundits reckon he could be the best Laudrup of all.
Hope he joins us and proves to be as good as his dad or uncle. Time will tell.

Saw it as well, but earlier this week Ten Cate said they weren't going to get another player than Leonardo in the winter, so the only thing that changed his opinion in my eyes could be the fact that Pienaar want's to stop playing soccer, or return to Ajax, but then again, he isn't really experienced and a leading player.according to some reports ten cate would like to add an experienced, "coaching" player to the squad...it's true?
But if the rumours are true, i wouldn't be suprised to see a player like Johan Vogel, Landzaat, or Seedorf comming to Ajax.
What Ajax needs is a player who can Defend, is a real Leader and ofcourse somewhone who will shout at the refferee or other players, Receive a red card and gives clinics at the bijlmer :worshippy: then we have a real Ajacied

According to the English press, Ten Cate answered the question :
"Davids will not be coming because our team is very solid in the position that he plays. Our squad is complete. At the most, Leonardo will come and Jan Vertonghen will perhaps be loaned out."

What !!!! Solid in the position ?? We dont have a pitbull in midfield, Gabri and Lindenbergh are the closest we have to that. Both are somewhat inconsistent. Unless Ten Cate thinks he would use Davids as a left midfielder i dont really see this statement as correct. Davids would help the team, no doubt.Cedric_AeF schreef:According to the English press, Ten Cate answered the question :

According to www.pilkanozna.pl Anderlecht is ready to accept Betis's transfer offer for Anthony Vanden Borre. The price is unofficial now, but the press says it could be something about 2.5 mln pounds.
Is it a chance that Ajax will make a better offer? I believe this man will be useful... Besides, 2.5 mln GBP is not a very big price.
