I think we generally (of course there might be exceptions) do bad with buys above 8/9 million. Our sweet spot is the 2-5 million range. We only need 1 out 3 or 4 in that range to be a diamond.

Bande officially loaned to Thun for 18 months ie to June 2021. We wont see him again will get 1 or 2m for him in years time just like with Magallan.

Serhuis has been sold to French club Stade Reims for €4M which will be split equally between Groningen and Ajax. I wish the striker well as he is a decent player but just not quite good enough for the Ajax first team.

A good deal for Sierhuis.Groningen had an option to buy of 1m so given his value went up to 4m by virtue of his time there then splitting it 2m each seems right.They have taken ex Ajax youth Redan on loan from Hertha Berlin as replacement

Magallan will return to us in the summer ,Alaves dont want to buy him and will send him back. This guy looked bad when he made his debut sadly 9m down the drain .Expect he will go back to Argentina this summer on loan then be sold for a couple of million.

3 other bad buys who will get loaned out this summer.Marin and Alvarez both not good enough for us. We will loan them out and hope to pick up some money next year. Pierie also will have to go. A very strange signing as he is not good enough and struggles at Jong level.

Paying up to 5m for players is worth a punt but Magallan,Marin Alvarez are poor investments and none have looked good enough.
Add Bande who was nothing more than a half decent talent ,he cost 9m and sadly due to his injury we can write that off as well

Pierie has been loaned out to FC Twente. Good move and hopefully he gets solid playing time over there.

Agree a good loan.He will get playing time but probably next summer will get sold to a mid table French or Italian side for 7m or so.

Agreed. I haven't seen a lot of Pierie last year, but whatever I've seen and heard makes me believe this was a scouting mistake. Maybe we're all proved wrong and the real Kik will make an appearance.

Danilo Pereira is going on a season's loan to Twente. He will get playing time and like Pieire we can see how he develops.

Danilo Pereira's season long loan to Twente now complete . He had to apply for a new work permit thus the delay. Dont think we will see him back again.

Ajax and FC Twente are discussing an extenstion to Perie's loan period, adding another year. Perhaps this makes sense now that Blind has extended his contract for one more year and Martinez is also a good solution to LCB.

So we start the season with two geriatric (in football terms) keepers. Who will be #3? I assume Onana does not return to Ajax but I wonder realistically if anyone is going to want to buy a keeper who will miss the first part of the season.

apparently your neighborhood club, Brighton want to buy Scherpen outright. If the Zwolle loan has not been finalized this might prove to be an interesting decision for Ajax.

All very quite on Brighton wanting Scherpen. Brighton do buy young foreign players to rent out and hopefully sell for a profit.
If they buy Scherpen they are bound to loan him out ,maybe to Zwolle. Overmars should ask at least 3m to 4m but Brighton probably expect to pay 1m or 2m max.

He should stay with us, have a year at Zwolle and see what Ajax plans are then.

Nothing yet on Scherpen but Pierie is staying on loan at Twente for another year.We paid 5m for him and it seems wasted money,1 season in Jong and 2 on loan.

He is surplus right now because of Martinez/Blind. I watched some Twente games this season and he had some good moments. He is very good with the ball at his feet. Whether he makes Ajax first team is still up in the air.

Jong Ajax goalie Kotarski is going back to a Croatian club on a 1 year loan with option to buy. We paid 2m for him and he has not developed enough.He has a contract to 2023 so we will see him sold next summer for next to nothing.

Magallan is going to be loaned to Anderlecht for the season.Has a contract to 2023 and never good enough for Ajax from day 1.

Max de Waal,Jong Ajax striker, has gone on loan to PEC Zwolle for the rest of the season. He extended his contract from 2023 to 2024.

Giovanni ,Brazilian MF with Young Ajax has gone to Telstar for the rest of the season on loan. One and a half seasons with Young he has done little and not played regularly.

2 Danes likely leaving on loan.Jensen to either RKC or Willem ll Tilburg.Eskild Dall,just 19 and a winger cum striker is going to Aarhus in Denmark.He has played for U18 this season and has failed to impress.Jensen cost 3.5m and Dall 500,000 and we will be lucky to get much money back.

Rasmussen,cost 3m and Kjaer 2m(winger in U18 and still 17) are the remaining Danes so hope they develop.Danes sign contracts at 15 at home so we buy them when 16 and pay big fees.Most foreign youngsters are bought for usually no more than 200,000.Maybe we should give up on Danes!!

Dall's loan to Aarhus confirmed.Nothing about Jensen yet.

Talk of Barca wanting Tagliafico on loan but Ajax only want money so he could be staying.Good to keep him but let him play more.

Jong Ajax LB Terrance Douglas on loan to Den Bosch with option to buy.Contract runs to 2023. With Salah-Eddine and Baas chances limited for him so good luck to him.

Viktor Jensen has extended his contract to 2024 and is loaned out to Rosenborg until 31 Dec 2022.Assume he had an option for a year extension otherwise with a contract to 2023 we would just sell him this summer.We might this way get some money back as he cost 3.5m
