Didn't watch todays friendly,just as well as it was a 1-1 draw v Quick 20 .Kudus scored

Llansana got hurt in yesterday's game and has left de Lutte after being assessed at the hospital. Didn't see the game but slightly embarrassing that we couldn't win against an amateur side.

Yes, this was quite a big flop, if you want to be worth the Ajax shirt you can not fail like this.
Better to play the worst game of the year as early as possible, than to have it in December in the Champions League though.

We have beaten Paderborn 4-1 today ,Haller and an OG in the 1st half and Danilo,with a lovely curving ball into the top of the net, and a Labyad penalty in the 2nd half.

I watched the 2nd half and impressed with Salah-Eddine, Fitz-Jim and Rasmussen although he was out of position on the wing.Only strange pick was Magallan ,who played in the 1st half, stayed until 75mins before Hillen came on and this lad looked better to me.
Right near the end Hillen ,left footed, was in his own box and put a beautiful pass straight on to the foot of a team mate on the halfway line by the right touch line.Watching an Ajax game this is normal but it still enjoyable.

Comfortable 2-0 win with Haller both goals.A few of the Young Ajax lads got playing time, Fitz-Jim impresses me.

An August 4 match against Leeds United in Amsterdam was just announced. Hope it will be streamed as Leeds are my favorite EPL team with the great trainer, Marcelo Bielsa!!

Saw most of the first 60 minutes. We seemed to play not at 100% but were still leagues ahead of Anderlecht.

Among the kids I saw - Baas & Taylor played well. Surprisingly Magallan also played decent.

Agree Taylor and Baas played well and Magallan also played ok but Anderlecht were poor

I do remember a super dumb pass from Taylor where he IIRC passwed the ball right in the middle of Magallan and Baas into the back left corner. This was under minimal pressure and ended up with Magallan needing to rescue the ball under pressure and to hoof it up.

Didn't watch yesterdays 2-2 draw with Bayern but its being shown on a freesports channel on main tv this afternoon so I watch it.

That was quite an entertaining friendly match.
Not a lot of big names in the Bayern team. Lewandowski, Gnabry, Müller, Boateng, Neuer all absent.

But Bayern brought in a very exotic squad with a lot of technical skills. Unfortunately Magallan got again 45 minutes, Haller had a pretty strong game, Neres finally showed some of his class again.
By far the strongest Ajax player on this day was Perr Schuurs.

Joshua Zirkzee, a Dutch player who moved from the Feyenoord academy to the Bayern academy made a fool of himself with a bizar miss. It's worth your time searching for that one on YouTube.

Watched the game 1st half ok but many changes in 2nd half. Magallan getting playing time is crazy but most of our squad are back ,only Antony and Alvarez still on Int duty and Kudus injury are not in Austria.

Zirkzee's miss was unbeliveable, 2 metres or less from the line and he seemed to want to walk the ball over but Schuurs with a great tackle took the ball off him.Schuurs had a good game .

The match with RB Leipzig will be broadcast on ESPN+ here in the US.

Ajax with a nice 3rd minute goal from Tadic on a pass from Mazraoui lead RB Leipzig at the half 1-0. Leipzig had most of the possession but never threatened to score. 1st half lineup: Stekelenburg; Tagliafico, Martinez, Timber, Mazraoui; Blind, Gravenberch, Klassen; Tadic, Haller, Berghuis. Expect changes for the 2nd half.

Tadic went the full 90, moving to striker for the 2nd half. Everyone else was subbed off during the course of the 2nd half. Ajax conceded a poor goal when Timber missed a challenge at the halfway line and Leipzig was able to break in with numbers. Stekelenburg tried to come out but was too slow and could not contain the attacker. Ended up 1-1.
Final formation: Steks; Baas, Magallan, Schuurs, Rensch; Taylor, Jensen, Ekkelenkamp; Neres, Tadic, Martha Baas seems to be a decent LB and it will be interesting to see him develop.

Watched most of the game and go along with Orange's comments.With all the subs in the 2nd half it is impossible to really judge but Baas and Taylor look decent to me but Martha does not look anywhere near good enough for this level.Danilo did not play and given he was out for 10 days before the training camp,covid!! he has not had much chance to show he is good enough to be 2nd Striker.

PS.Jong Ajax lost 4-2 in Volendam today in their last friendly and Hansen only played to HT. Nantes seem interested in him and if he is not rated better than Martha he does not seem to have any future with us.

Don't know. He, as with some of the other starters, came out for the second half. He was subbed off early but I didn't see any play that would have led to an injury.

He did get a tackle which resulted in him rubbing his leg and getting treatment .Hopefully he will stay fit.

Two matches against Leeds United today. In the afternoon match, Ajax will play a B team consisting of mostly Jong Ajax players. Tonight it is an A team. There may be some streams available but I have some appointments and won't be watching.

Didn't watch the B team where we won 3-1 but watched most of the main team's easy 4-0 over a very moderate Leeds.Great long shot from Gravenberch for his goal and nice finishing by Danilo for the 4th. Nico has a slight injury but Steks and Rensch have missed the game as they were just doing extra fitness training.

Saw some of the game yesterday and we looked fairly comfortable for most of the game.

Many of the Ajax first team players are in Curacao. They played a friendly last night with Christian Rasmussen scoring four and Ihattaren once for the 5-1 win. It will be interesting to see Rasmussen progress as he was often spotty with Jong Ajax.

Ajax are up 2-1 against SC Paderborn. Ihatteran with two goals in the first half. Defense looks pretty scattered. Magallan is really just bad. Perie has looked OK at CB. Klaiber does not defend at RB. Fitz-Jim needs to be more assertive with his through passes. Right now they are two soft. Unuvar is looking good at 10. Banel got the start on the left wing but has not been involved much.

Not watching but give us an update on 2nd half.Pierie should be given some time as he could be used as back up LCD .Martinez is sadly off to manu and we are only left with Blind at LCD
