Thanks for saving me 3.99 Euros. I was almost about to purchase it through Ziggo PPV when I saw your message about it being available for free on YouTube.

Promes had 1 hit the bar, 1 hit the post and the last where he was one-on-one with the Eintracht keeper, he wasn't able to put it past the keeper.

Traore may not score goals, but his link up play with the wings and mid-field looks top notch to me.

Heard rumours about Donny leaving and have been feeling sad about that.

Could have been 3 or 4-0 by now but we are playing well.

Alvarez playing decent actually and not wasting time on the ball and moving the ball forward. Nous seems settled and confident. Reminds me of his breakthrough year in 2018.

Really impressed with Gravenberch. this is the best that I've seen him play.

kudus for the 2nd. traore played well first half as well

I was most impressed with the defending. Other than the poor marking on the corner kick, Ajax were pretty solid at the back. If Blind is out, Martinez has to stay in the middle. When Tagliafico leaves, either Dest or Mazraoui will move over to FB on that side.

Enjoyable to watch good attacking football by us.Martinez was very strong in CD.Antony lovely to watch and Kudus looks the real deal.

Sad seeing Donny knowing we wont see him in an Ajax shirt again.

Meant to say Gravenberch really impressed yesterday and although Alvarez was ok he did not impress me. He will stay and with all the football will be used but this guy is not very special and certainly we should not have wasted 15m.

At14.30 Jong play Roda in the league so Taylor,Hansen,Brobbey will play in that and the above subs will likely go over to de Toekomst and play the 2nd half there.

Watched the first. Obviously a B squad (no internationals playing I guess). Ajax doing lots of defending. Timber looks OK back there, Dest I’m not so sure about. Didn’t get to see much of Kudus or Traore as Ajax weren’t getting the ball forward.

The Ajax goal was nicely taken with a good pass from Lang to Eiting. Union Berlin are a Bundesliga side and i assume they are playing their main players. Lots of height and Ajax are doing a poor job defending free kicks. A couple of good saves from Steks and he was saved by the post as well. Magallan was OK and may stay with the team this season given the uncertainty about Blind's health. Dest appears to have lost his staring place to Mazraoui but may still end up starting if Tagliafico leaves. Good to see Neres go a full 30 minutes. Jurrien Timber had positional problems on the back line on several occasions. I suspect that Berlin will pick up a goal or two in the second half.

The 2-2 draw was flattering for Ajax who were outplayed for much of the 2nd half. I have to remember that other than Magallan and Stekelenburg everyone else was 23 and under with many under 20! Good for the kids to play against a first division German club who had a lot of height and physical ability. Not too many conclusions from this match. I wonder if Eiting does leave the club this transfer season and whether Lang goes out on loan.

Nothing to add to Orange's post. Actually thought Kasanwirjo ,18 and little Jong games, looked as effective as Magallan.Every forward pass by Magallan went to an opponent!

PS Having watched all this game I note Jong now playing ,turned over found a stream saw Roda score but think watching another 60 mins of football straight away is too much for me.Well truth is my wife would have a moan! I have been sitting here for 2 hours!!

One of the advantages of being in the US is the games are on in the early morning and my wife is usually reading the newspaper!

A 1-0 win ,Labyad pen. Not very interesting game and playing time for a lot of teenagers,think 8 of them. This is Ajax the club of youth.

Still need to buy a real quality midfielder to replace Donny.

All the substitutes were used at various points: Brobbey, Warmerdam, Mendez, Labyad, de Waal, Kasanwijo. Traore got the Ajax goal just before halftime.

First pre-season friendly is annouinced. Ajax will take on RB Leipzig on July 31!!! Which team will Brian Brobbey play for? Perhaps he swaps shirts at the half and plays for both!!!

A real training match we are 5-0 at HT.Neres with 3 well taken goals ,Taylor and Danilo 1 each.

Finished 6-0 Hlynsson the only goal in the 2nd half. We changed the team for the 2nd half so only 3rd goalie Raatsie did not play.

Fitz-Jim looked good in the first half and I am sure Danilo will get a few more pre- season games to prove he can be our No 2 striker.

Enjoyed watching the game.

Arrived at de Lutte for the week with 29 players but only 10 are 1st teamers,many teenagers from Jong Ajax there.
Quick 20 tomorrow and Paderborn from Germany on Saturday.

Llansana got hurt in yesterday's game and has left de Lutte after being assessed at the hospital. Didn't see the game but slightly embarrassing that we couldn't win against an amateur side. I'm not stressed mind you, since most of the team is yet to return.
