1-0 down at Ht we have not created many chances so far

Sao Paulo bunkering down on a tight 4-4-2. Look to contact all the time and Ajax are getting caught up field. de Ligt missed his man who scored but it was a poor turnover by Ajax. Real smooth pitch and a warm sunny day. Should see lots of subs for Ajax in the second half.

90 percent of those here are Sao Paulo supporters and they are making a good bit of noise. Hope Neres gets a g house.

A little too much talent for Ajax. Nice to see Neres get the goal. Team needs to tighten defense. Will post more later

4-2 win but Sao Paulo changed their whole side at HT .v d Beek,Tadic with a penalty,Dolberg and Neres the goals.Defence needs tightening though.

I guess Ajax finish second. Eintracht Frankfurt lost to Flamengo 1-0 having played with 10 men for 60 minutes after a dodgy Red Card on one of their defenders. Flamenco had several chances to put the match out of reach but had some poor shooting

It would be great if Ajax made this an annual stop.

A friendly v AZ this afternoon at AZ training complex ,we won 3-0 Traore 2, Veltman 1. The game ,like that the other week v Zwolle was for fringe players to get playing time.Rules for Jong Ajax no one aged 23 and over can play.

Veltman,Lamprou,Kristensen,Sinkgraven,Labyad,Cerny all played together with Jong players plus Brobbey and Quinten Timber from our U19 were subs.

We played a friendly today v Leverkusen in Germany and lost 2-1 Pereira scored our goal. Game was a run out for our regular subs who dont get playing time. Varela,Veltman,Magallan,Sinkgraven,Labyad,KJH and Cerny all started,Labyad went off injured after an hour.
Jong Ajax players Kemper,Solomons Ter Heide and Pereira made up the starting team with Thetani a sub along with fringe U19 Aberkane ,Douglas, Maddy all getting a few minutes.

Our new Portuguese keeper looked good. KJH had an open net but hit the crossbar. He also had a couple of headers that came close. Veltman still can't defend

Season has started with a 11-2 win over amateurs Quick 20.The squad is back in de Lutte in East Holland near Enschede.

Nice to see Cerny got 3 ,not sure what we do with him this season.

Currently playing Aalborg of Denmark at Quick 20 ground near De Lutte.1-1 in the 2nd half ,Danilo Perreira our goal.

I watched the highlights. Both Dest and Martinez looked very good. Magellan looks very slow and I am not sure whether he will be a decent defender. Need to get the remaining Internationals back in training

We won 5-2 de Wit 2, Pierie,Jensen and KJH all one each. 22 players used many Jong Ajax included. Reading comments seems no one rates Magallen.

Last year Bande was injured fora a year during this friendly game. Any status update on his situation???

Training still on his fitness and didn't go to De Lutte.No mention of when he will be fit to play.

Just watched the highlights of the Anderlecht friendly. I'm very impressed with Noa Lang, he has speed to burn and had some good passes in the game. Offensively this year's team might be better than last season.

Lang was impressive indeed. He sure will be knocking on the first team's door this year...

I see that Ajax have three friendlies arranged. They will play Basaksehir (Turkey) and Watford at the alpine training camp and then Panathanaikos on July 22 at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.

Ajax have a friendly on right now and there is a stream on Cricfree!!! ten Hag is splitting the squad up by halves.

Varela; Dest, Blind, Schuurs, Veltman; Eiting, Marin, van de Beek; Promes, Dolberg, Tadic played the first half and Dolberg with a goal in the 28th minute. Eiting and Marin have been taking the free kicks and the high pressure on the Turkish team is getting lots of turnovers. I didn't see any decent threat by the opponents.

2nd Half lineup: Varela; J. Timber, Perie, Magallan, Kristensen; Schöne, Ekkelenkamp, de Wit; Labyad, Huntelaar, Lang

Huntelaar with a goal after a defensive error and Basaksehir peg one back when Varela was screened on a shot. 2-1 final score. Varela looked very good in goal and it's nice to have a capable #2 this season.

Missed the game as the Cricket World Cup final was today and England won !
