Been wondering that too. No news anywhere. It must simply be his place in the current hierarchy. No news pointing to any alternative explanation. With everyone and his brother getting minutes today,... it must be tough on him.

Selectie Ajax van 24 man naar De Lutte, Andersen er weer bij

Ajax reist maandag met een selectie van 24 man richting De Lutte voor een trainingskamp. De nieuwe aanwinsten Bojan Krkic en Mike van der Hoorn behoren uiteraard tot de groep. Verder is Lucas Andersen er uiteraard weer bij. Hij kwam vanwege lichte klachten niet in actie zaterdag.

De andere talenten waaronder spelers als Lukoki, Koppers, Bazoer en Moses Daddy sluiten aan bij Jong Ajax. Mickey van der Hart, Kenny Tete en Dejan Meleg sluiten aan bij hun nationale jeugdelftal voor het EK onder 19.

Just to confirm I came onto this subject and had to re register again!

I watched the Galatasary game in full , terrible mix up for their first goal. With a different lineup for the 2nd half clearly no more than a training game. Missed the first half of the Trabzonspor game but in the 2nd half it was good to see Kishna make his debut and from what I saw he looks a decent player given he has missed over 2 years with injury. Riedewald played as a left back and at just 17 looks a very good player in the making.

Not surprised we lost on penalties.

After the finale league game of the season (Ajax vs NEC on 03 May) Ajax will go on a promotional trip to Indonesia. Two friendly fixtures were just confirmed by Ajax watcher, Simon Zwartkruis (of Voetbal International magazine), on Twitter: Ajax will play Persija (11 May, in Jakarta) and Persib (14 May, in Bandung). There will be no seperate match threads for those friendlies. If you have anything to say about them, please do it here.

Well with all the excitement of the World Cup it seems that the start of the new season for Ajax has gone unreported. Indeed Ajax opened up training camp last Monday and played their first training match yesterday, winning 13-1 against SDC Putten. Exciting times indeed!
Am looking forward to another season and tittle.

Yes, he showed some decent pace with the ball, some good dribbles and good finishing. Still we faced a team from the fifth tier so we weren't really tested in this one.

Off to the Austrian Tyrol with just the 3 Oranje lads missing.Youngsters Bazoer Tete and last seasons A1 youth goalie Xavier Mous standing in. Only injured player we have Fischer is going which is a nice touch as he will only be doing light training.

Becker and El Ghazi not being taken but Dijks,back from loan,is going to be our No 2 left back this season.Our No 3 goalie this season is Peter Leeuwenburgh,he takes over from V d Hart.

2 friendlies yesterday.The first was v SV Honnepel a Germany lower league team played in Zeist. We won 6-0 Sigthorsson 2, El Ghazi 2 goals, Serero and Bakker 1 each. We played our 2nd X1 for the first 60 mins and then played 10 subs nearly all being first year Jong players.

The 2nd game v Danish team Aalborg in Rijnsburg ended 2-2 with Schone and Bakker the scorers. Our first X1 played for an hour and then mainly the same Jong players from the first game were used on the hour.

Young winger El Ghazi is highly rated and talk of him coming into the first team this season.Great day also for Bakker scoring 2 goals for the first team.

The squad is off training at De Lutte this week ,near Enschede, and play friendlies next Saturday v Real Sociedad and JupIlier league Achilles.

2 friendlies today and the first at de Lutte ended in a 2-1 win over Jupiler league Achilles 29 with Sana and de Sa the scorers. As with last week there is a 2nd friendly today v Real Sociedad in Hardenberg,and half the first team play in one game the other half the 2nd game.

Today Tete,Moisander,Riedewald,Boilesen,Bazoer,Andersen,Serero,de Sa,Zivkovic all played 75 mins before replaced by Jong Ajax players. Siggy played just 45 mins with Sana replacing him and Jong Ajax goalie Alblas the only one who played 90 mins.

Good 3-1 win over Sociedad , Milik El Ghazi and a OG

Line up Leeuwenburgh,Ligeon,V d Hoorn,Denswil,Dijks, Klaassen,Viegever,Duarte,Schone,Milik,Kishna.

The goalie played all 90 mins but the rest played 75mins. The same subs were used in both games ,apart from Sana they were all just out the youth team.Owusu V Bruggen Vissie V Koesveld,Bakker ,Warmerdam,El Ghazi,Menig ,Becker

Good experience for these youngsters v Sociedad.El Ghazi scores against a proper team,I see him in our first team
especially as Muric's transfer seems far off with Zagreb insisting he still has a contract.

We're facing a strong opponent, who knows how to stop us. Pressuring up high, running more than us. We usually have our chances on the counter. Although I don't like our game... we just scored

I kinda like the way were playing, but maybe that's easy after watching Holland for a month with most it's players unable to do more with a ball than boot it.

You could be right. Benfica are a stronger team than ours. However, the score could have been 2-1 against us, if if they didn't waste so many chances

I was watching but never got round to posting cannot eat ,watch and post !

Good win and the defence was ok ,with Vermeer saving yet another pen. Attack looked very lightweight in the 2nd half.Kishna has lots of talent, not sure he will play 90 mins every game and certainly not 2x 90 mins when CL starts.

Still want to see us buy an experienced striker ,when Siggy goes and we could do with an experienced quality midfielder.We do need to buy a couple of experienced players and keep Moisander.

In the earlier Ajax B v Jong Benfica we lost 4-3 with Zivkovic 1 goal and El Ghazi 2 goals .Would have been nice to have seen those as subs tonight.

But he can still stop shots with the best of them!!! And not just the penalty stop, either. He made at least 3 other saves on what looked to be 'sure' goals.
