I won't be surprised if only 5-6 points separate the top five teams in the table at the end of the season. Ajax would be in the drivers seat had it not been for all those ridiculous draws against lesser teams.

Twente only drew with Groningen so that was also good for us. I will predict AZ and Twente being 4th and 5th and will drop away.
5 or 6 points between the top 3 could be about right.

Good results for Ajax this weekend, and I think Feyenoord have a game against AZ in two weeks or so.

Vitesse are in real deep doo doo. they don't have a stadium to play in having refused the Arnehm lease proposal and the Dutch FA may take their license away. the club lost a court case recently that brought this to a head. They had been paying a very low rent amount because of financial difficulties but that ended this season.

Vitesse could play at another ground. NEC is of course near but they are big rivals and I think this has been ruled out. De Graafschap are down the road in Doetinchem or maybe Den Bosch which is not too far.

FC Utrecht just got kicked out of the cup by Spakenburg who play in the second division. Basically they’re amateurs. Utrecht lost 1-4 at home. Go figure when they go 200% when Ajax visits.

I saw the scoreline and summary. Utrecht pretty much had all their first team players and nobody got sent off in this one!!! Now I have to support Spakenburg for the Beker. It would be cool to see them win and go and play in Europe next season!!! Of course, I will only support them until they meet Ajax.

Groningen was really shafted by the officiating. Two very weak YCs led to a sending off in the 52nd minute and they defended well until Feyenoord got the winning goal in the 89th. Conspiracy believers will think that the Dutch FA want somebody other than Ajax to win it this season. If Ajax win out it doesn't matter but all those stupid draws really make me angry.

Exactly, Feyenoord were lucky, but if Ajax don’t finish 1st I will be blaming the seven game streak without a win, not bad refereeing in a Feyenoord game!

We drew Feyenoord in the semi-final of the Beker!!!!

I followed the draw just to see whether we drew Feyenoord or PSV away.No chance we were going to get Spakenburg.2 games in Rotterdam in 2 weeks wont be fun but I just want us to win the league game.

Fans moaning that Groningen got a sending off and Feyenoord were lucky with their goal. If they win the title, and my gut feeling is they will ,it is not because they got late goals to beat Groningen and AZ and a point v PSV but because Ajax drew about 5 games we should have buried the opposition ie GAE,Vitesse,NEC,Volendam and worst of all Emmen.10 points thrown away.

The league game will be in Amsterdam in Johan Cruyff Arena.

Sorry of course we play Feyenoord at home first I meant to post 2 games v Feyenoord in the space of 2 weeks wont be fun .

And also let's see which trick will have to invented this time to let the players bus arrive safely at the Feyenoord stadium.

Brilliant 2-1 away win by AZ at Lazio in the Conference. I will always want Dutch sides to win in Europe and hope Feyenoord beat Shakter on Thursday . Netherlands are still well clear of Portugal in the coefficients to decide on who gets 2 direct CL places in 2024/25. With 2 direct places this will great for Ajax,although its a shame we dont have 2 direct places for next season.

Amazing result for them. I always cheer on the other eredivisie clubs in Europe too. Lazio seemed to be far better for most of the game and they missed a lot of chances, but I hope AZ hang on in the return.

I like the way Pascal Janssen is managing AZ. He knows his players well and sets the team up to take full advantage of their abilities.

A good point for Feyenoord last night .If AZ and Feyenoord win their home games next week then 2 direct CL group places for Holland will just about be certain for 2024/25. Arsenal to beat Sporting Lisbon and hope Inter Ko Porto next week.

Back to the league and of course I want Feyenoord and AZ to be stuffed this weekend.

It looks like PSV will lose Xavi Simons as PSG has the right to recall the winger for only €6M which they are exercising. this will be a massive blow.

PSV looked awful against Arsenal in the CL today. The other two teams in their group, Lens and Sevilla are nothing special so it is possible for them to finish 2nd. Aresenal really look top rate.

Almere beat RKC and go ahead of us .We are 16th just Volendam and Utrecht below us and we are in relegation place. If we lose or even draw tomorrow then Steijn has to go and every remaining member of our Supervisory Board must go . This summer's signings and season start is an utter disgrace.

Just watched the end of the Feyenoord - Vollendam game. Vollendam were even at 1-1 going into added time but Giminez got a nice cross and headed in the match winner. Vollendam had a late free kick and sent the GK forward but couldn't control the ball and there was a late goal into an open net as Feyenoord raced forward. Too bad for Vollendam who are in turmoil as Wim Jonk and his colleagues have left the club. Would have been nice to see Feyenoord drop points.

PSV, as usual, win 2-0. Maybe they go unbeaten this season.

Pity Feyenoord did not drop points last night.I cannot see us getting past them for 2nd but 3rd place is more than possible as AZ and Twente are only 9 points ahead.

A lot depends on January signings as we need an experienced no 6. Could do with full backs who can defend, a right winger and a creative MF but we needed these last summer.
