Good goal by V d Beek and a better half for Ajax .V d Beek looks like Klaassen's young brother and plays a bit like him.Nouri does impress me , he is one of the older players as he is just about 17 but looks about 14!

Once Cerny scored the 2nd we were in control although a couple of long balls by them in the last couple of minutes nearly troubled us. A good win and we play either Milan or Liverpool tomorrow.

Just turned on my computer and see they are awarding the Ajax U-17 the trophy for the Aegon Futures tourney. Unfortunately, I missed the match!

Well we have just won the Aegon Cup for U17's beating Liverpool 2-1 . The first goal was from lovely play Nouri put a through ball to Cerny who went into the area but then crossed the ball across the box for the unmarked EL Idrissi to score .The winner was an OG.

So Ajax do win a Cup this weekend and unlike the first team they played with 2 wingers. Cerny is a bit like a younger Kishna and Dilrosun on the left is strong fast and a decent crosser.I note of all the lads born in1998 ie ayear younger than the rest Dilrosun is the only one still 15.(3 of our defenders today are born in 1998 but you would not know they are a year younger.)

And finally whereas the first have the very limited Serero the U17's have the the gifted talent of Nouri what a prospect, he was everywhere and looks an even better talent than Eriksen ! What we would give to have a player like him in our 1st team.

I watched several of the matches over the weekend and even though he is as slight in build as Serero, he pushes the ball forward and appears to have very good ball skills at this level. He has very good quickness and decision making.

Well there is still youth games to play at A1 U19 level. By not winning their final league game a couple of weeks ago our A1 finished level on points with PSV and although we have a better goal difference and gained more points against them in the 2 league games there is a playoff this weds between the teams at Veenendaal( between Utrecht and Arnhem).

However if the game is drawn there wont be penalties but we will be champs on GD !

To make things alot worse, although the youths don't start pre season to mid July, as Jong Ajax start pre season 16 June all those A1 players who will be moving to Jong next season wont be allowed to play as they need a summer break. Thus all the forwards Acolatse,Menig and El Ghazi plus goalie Mous ,RB Owusu and possibly CD Mirani will not play. Of course Kishna,Riedewald,Tete, Becker,Bazoer,Anderson and even V d Boomen have already moved up and wont be considered.

I assume Mf V d Beek and Nouri will play even though they have only just returned from Holland U17 duty.

So we will have a team of mainly 17 year olds but I bet PSV will fill their team with 19 year olds.

NB. even then our A1 wont be finished as they play the annual Copa Amsterdam in the Olympic Stadium in 2 weekends time.

The A1 youths playoff with PSV was 2-2 after 90 but we have to play 30 mins of extra time and if its still a draw we are champs on GD.Mirani and Dilrosun the goals.

I have followed on Ajaxshowtime twitter and PSV are nearly all born in 1995. However none of our players born in 1995 can play as they are being promoted to Jong Ajax . We have 4 born in 1997 ie Nouri V d Beek El Idrissi and Dekker plus Dilrosun born 1998 and still only 15! the others all born 1996.

Well they did it ,finished 2-2 AET so Ajax A1 are champs.Great performance considering we had an extra young team.Plenty of talent coming through and in attack the 2 best kids born in 1997 Walian and Cerny did not even play.

PS My post above listed all the subs including those who came on in extra time. Just like to put names to these games.

And still they have not finished, Ajax U19's playing Copa Amsterdam this weekend in the Olympic Stadium. Beat Hamburg 3-0 today. We have 2 Ajax Cape Town players in our squad and Ajax CT have Walian and Dankerlui from our youths.

Meanwhile our Amateur side Ajax Saturday team have today won promotion to the topklasse league,thats level 3.We now have sides in the top 3 leagues for the first time ever.

NB In the topklasse there are seperate Saturday and Sunday leagues and the other Amsterdam team AFC ,were Saturday champions.However in the final play off Sunday champs Spakenburg beat them and are overall champs.

Our U19 had a poor Copa Amsterdam. Lost 5-1 to Fluminense and 1-0 to Ajax Cape Town. Today they lost the 5th and 6th place game 2-0 to Men Utd, a made up team of local amateurs coached by Ronald deBoer.

Most of the Ajax team are this season's U17's whereas a team like Fluminense had 18 to 20 year old playing.

So all Ajax teams have now finished the season although Jong Ajax start training next week!

The young winger Dilrosun ,who debuted for our A1 at the end of the season aged 15 has decided to join Man City.
He is taking the money and to hell with staying at the best academy in Europe. The last kid to leave us Van Velzen
returned to Jong Utrecht aged 19 having not made it at Man u. .Expect Dilrosun to do the same. Seems a good talent but good riddance.If you are motivated by money aged 16 you are not the right type of player for Ajax.

The new system at Ajax is not to give kids contracts age 16 but wait until they are 17. If we do start losing a few 16 year olds to England then maybe the club will have to rethink. Trouble is the OS kids who join us all get contracts aged 16 and so do 16 year olds from other clubs.

Meant to add above that Man U would like our 16 year old defender Timothy Fosu Mensah but nothing concrete about this move.Lets hope we can keep Mensah at least.

In the CL u19 today we drew 0-0 with APOEL in Cyprus.Having stuffed PSG this would be a poor result .Interesting to see Riedewald playing and at CD.

Having said Riedewald was probably rested for last nights Jong game,having played for the U19 in Cyprus ,I was surprised to see he played 90 for our A1 youths today although they lost 1-0 at home to PSV.
(I have read that as Denswil and V d Hoorn cannot play tomorrow ,having played for the Jong,if Veltman or Moisander got injured or ill before the game Riedewald would be able to take their place.)

Riedewald played CD in the first half today and DM in the 2nd.Having played LB a bit for Jong this season will be interesting to see where he finishes up.

I am in Amsterdam for the weekend at the end of this month and I see that Jong Ajax are due to play Jong PSV on the 24th. Do any of you guys know how it works for a match like this, I have never been to a reserve game before, can you just turn up or do you have to buy tickets in advance?

Yes for all the Jong Ajax Jupiler League home games you can buy a ticket at the gate for 10 euros. Try to find a season ticket holder or a clubcard holder, they are allowed to buy 4 tickets for 5 euros each.
