Kees Zwamborn

Bericht door Kowalczyk » do mar 10, 2005 10:05 am

Sometimes a former footballer accepts a new job that makes you wonder: how in the world did he ever find that job...? And why did those people, on the other side of the planet, think of him...?

Look at the new job of Kees Zwamborn, for example (Ajax defender around 1978-1982 and director of youth system before Danny Blind)...

New meaning to the term "wonder kid"...

Bericht door Kowalczyk » ma mar 21, 2005 11:15 pm

And I quote (from Canada.com):
Litmanen recently left hometown team FC Lahti for Hansa Rostock in the German Bundesliga. The 22-year-old offensive midfielder and striker has also played for Ajax, Liverpool and Barcelona. He won the Champions League with Ajax in 1995.
That is truly amazing. This boy has played at a lot of clubs in his 22 years. And at 12, he must have been the youngest winner of a Champions League medal... :cheer:

Any of you guys still remember this Zlatan fella?

Well, if you do and want to see how he ended his days at Ajax and how he's been doing in Italy the last months, you can download the latest film in the ZlatanMovie series, 'Zlatan - Forza Grande Ibra', at http://www.ZlatanMovie.tk.

It's quite big (about 160MB) and the d/l speed might not be the best right now (because lots of people are downloading), but I hope to get a mirror up soon. Anyways, hope you watch it and feel free to give some feedback as well.
Has anyone seen the Limecat?

Bittorrent jakob, bittorrent ;)

I mean with such a large file and traditional server hosting, you'll unavoidably bring your server to its knees.... Many sites now offer free tracker. But given the quality of the other videos I can't wait to see this one.

Now we're talking !!!

Everybody : The more people will connect to the tracker Jakob (kindly) set up for us, the best download rates we will get so get a hand on your clients and we'll ride the wind !!! :D :D :headbang:

http://thepiratebay.org/download.php/33 ... vi.torrent

Edit : I'm downloading right now and the rate is really good, thank you Jakob.

And by the way, maybe you all know that (if so, sorry), but try to leave your client open as long as possible after the completion of the download (i.e. seeding for all your Ajax Fans fellows and aiming a dl/ul ratio of 1).

it was awesome man, just finished. now i am uploading some on bitcomet.

anyway, i wish zlatan were scoring more goals, but you can see that he is creating havok for the opposing defense and setting up his teammates. him and trezeguet should be able to put a few back.

Victor Sikora

Bericht door Kowalczyk » do mar 31, 2005 4:38 pm

Victor Sikora is not really a former Ajax player, but in a way he is, 'cos he'll never make it back to Ajax-1 anyway...

The news: Sikora and Heerenveen's topscorer, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, were picked up by the police and brough to the station after they'd been involved in a fistfight in the middle of the night, in an Egyptian shoarma house in the town of Meppel. Huntelaar was actually charged with 'assault and battery'; Sikora was not.

The remarkable reaction from Heerenveen chairman Riemer van der Velde: "They do not have to tolerate it if people trifle with them. Too bad that [Heerenveen head-coach] Gert-Jan Verbeek and myself were not there when it happened. We could have done some useful work there. Maybe we should escort our boys when they go on a night out. Seriously, I won't blame Huntelaar for anything, although it may be a better idea not to visit placed like that anymore in the middle of the night."

Right - no more shoarma sandwiches for Sikora! :D

Glad to see former uber-kid Litmanen still has the goods. As for Sikora, pity he didn't get involved in the fight. He could've shown more fight there than in the whole of his time at Ajax..and I'm a Sikora fan.

Edgar Davids

Bericht door Kowalczyk » ma apr 04, 2005 6:46 pm

This is interesting...

NOS Teletekst reports that Edgar Davids has left Milan today after a dispute with his coach at Inter, Roberto Mancini. Davids started in only seven league games for Inter this season and as a result lost his spot in the Dutch national team (Marco van Basten has not selected him since October). Various news sources have claimed in recent weeks that Edgar Davids is very unhappy at Inter and would be up for a return to Ajax.

Davids has now pretty much run away from Inter - and according to reports in the Italian press Inter are willing to let him go on a free transfer at season's end, in spite of the fact that he's on a contract until 2007.

So... what do we think?

He can come and have a trial. If he's good enough I can bare having him in the squad.

To be honest I have NO IDEA whatsoever in what kind of shape he's in. He's not getting younger and to my notion not getting better either. Seems he has steadily gotten worse since he left Juve.

To me he's a big questionmark.

Other newspapers report that Davids is allowed to leave Inter (transfer free as well). To be honest, I don't think we stand a chance if this is true. Big clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Barcelona snap him up and pay him lots of money.

My pleasure. It's quite a lot of work gathering all clips, but it's fun as well. We'll keep on as long as it's fun, so I think you can count on at least one more. ;)

On great thing if we got him would be playing the song "pitbull Terrier" from "black cat, white cat" by Emir Kusturica.

I can hear the F-side filling in the "terrier"-part with women's voices. :eusa_dance:

If he had problems with his coach at Inter, what's to say that he won't do so again? It's not like Ajax need another bigheaded primadonna in the dressing room.
:pukey:
However, if it just happened to be a case of different personalities, and Davids doesn't have general problems with authority (something I'm not sure of), and he comes on a free transfer, I would be happy to take him.

Davids is Dutch, Aveslacker - therefore, per definitie, he has a problem with authority.

It's just in their genetics, they can't help themselves.
