Finally Ajax gets a good draw in a Euro competition!!! The Europa League as with the other two tourneys has changed the format to a new format. Rather than cutting and pasting a huge amount of text, here is the link at the UEFA website that explains how this all works: https://documents.uefa.com/r/Regulation ... ase-Online The major goal is to finish in the top eight in terms of points as those teams automatically qualify for the Round of 16.

Here is the draw for Ajax:
Home Matches: Lazio, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Galatasary, Besiktas
Away Matches: Slavia Prague, Real Sociedad, Qarabaq FK (Azerbaijan), Rigas FS (Latvia)

The Real Sociedad away match is the only one I can see that Ajax might be an underdog. I don't think Ajax have ever played against a team from Latvia or Azerbaijan. Dates for the matches have not been announced.

Play off round v Union St Gillis ,we should beat them ,Genk and Club Brugge are the main 2 in Belgium.Union were ok when owned by Brighton owner but he sold his shares.

Manu v Spurs final likely.Both sides having a terrible season but this shows how poor the other top 4 leagues are compared with EPL. Bilbao Frankfurt both 4th in their leagues stuffed by these 2 poor English sides. Lazio beaten by Bodo.France only has PSG. With no CL sides going down to Europa after the group stages the Europa is very weak.

Conference is a joke comp and an English side will always win as they are miles better than anyone else.Brighton or Fulham will be in it next season and will be favourites.Bournemouth or Brentford also could qualify.

Isn't the big question about how long the EPL TV money can last? They make so much money from television that it's not funny. I think the top clubs in the league get over £100m which is more than the entire Ajax operating budget. It is very difficult for any foreign club other than maybe 4-5 in Europe to compete.

Actually, I watched the Bilbao - Utd game yesterday and oh my, Utd were so incredibly poor. How Bilbao did not score once or twice is beyond me. And then Utd had a good (but lucky) goal and then the penalty + red card situation and that was it. But Utd was really really bad.

I think most sides in EPL get 100m pa ,Brighton do and they are an average mid table side. Only 4 or 5 sides can complete ie Real ,Barca,Bayern ,PSG Inter and thats it. Funny thing is PSG should ko Arsenal and no EPL will reach the final.

PS I dont want Arsenal to win . I have Arsenal loving sons but when they laugh at Ajax I ask them how many CL have you won .

Man u and Spurs playing badly but still going to get to the final says it all for the quality of Europa this season .
