Our former captain goes for blood again! Suarez bites Chiellini in the box during the match today. Not looking good for him in terms of continuing in this WC.
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!

Unfuckinbelievable! Greece are through to the final-16!! Now against Costa Rica and who knows... maybe even against Holland! Ε Λ Λ Α Σ !!!!

P.S. Suarez did it again, unfortunately. He cracks under pressure. Handball agains Ghana, Uruguay are through. Bitting the Italian defender, some minutes later they score. Maybe he sacrificed himself for the team...

Suarez was lucky not to get the boot, and will more than likely get a long term ban. Twice was one time too much. Three times is way beyond too much. Seems like he can be wound up to a point where he just snaps and blindly strikes out with his teeth. Is his career finished? Will any team be willing to take a chance on him after this?

im half thinking he did it on purpose to force a move away from liverpool... no matter what anyone says, teams will still buy top players, no matter what. he could go to prison for murder and still get signed up when he came out.

That handball wasn't cracking under pressure. They were out if he hadn't done that and it's something completely different than a bite in your neck. Although back then Gyan probably prefered that instead of the handball.

Sad to say, as he is world class, but Suarez should get a long ban from football.Think he has played his last game for Liverpool.

maybe not SPL, talk is that he will get a 24 game ban, but importantly, international only... so... it will be 2 years international ban,

The question I keep thinking about is, what team will want to be associated with him. For some reason in our human evolution, the reaction to someone biting another human being brings a negative response stronger than if he had committed murder.

And going on demonstrated form, he is like a ticking time bomb. Which team will want to take a chance that it won't happen again and have their image tarnished through their association with him? You have to think that sooner or later the chances are it will happen again -- especially since now the teams he faces will try to wind him up; to say nothing of the "fans" in the stands riding him unmercifully.

Maybe there is hope for him if he agrees to some kind of psychological counseling. Biting in children is often a panic response to feeling threatened and feeling helpless to protect yourself, so maybe there is some kind of underlying issue that needs to be looked at and, hopefully, can be resolved.

Despite Suárez getting "hangry" again, I can report that watching Italy get eliminated in a bar in Milano was very enjoyable... particularly after they wasted about a third of the second half rolling about on the ground before Uruguay scored.

To make things more humane after the whole Suarez affair, I will post a link to an article (in Greek but roll down and see the video and English message). It's about a little kid form Glascow, who supports Samaras (the former Celtic striker, who scored the winning goal against the Ivory Coast). This little kid has Samaras as his hero.

The Greek FA wanted to pay the money to get the kid's family to Brazil for the game against Costa Rica.

This is from Celtic's final championship game.

What a great finish by the Oranje.KJH sets up Wesley for a tremendous shot. When injury time started I was convinced,KJH, my favourite footballer would win the game. He did not let me or Oranje down with that penalty.
Very very cool by the Hunter.

Robben made the most of that tackle for the penalty but was denied one in the first half and in the second half decided to leapfrog the defenders lunge rather than go down. Thought Cillessen and Blind did ok and nothing more.

Oranje and the Hunter rule tonight.

Was it Huntelaars intention to pass to Sneijder for the goal?

Anyway KJH was smart enough to drop it to the danger zone rather than going for goal from a weak angel. Thought Blind was a bit off after he was forced to play in midfield. Hope de Jong isn't inured too badly. I wonder will Clasie get any time on the field? Costa rica will be next. Semi final place is definitely up for grabs.

There is an interview (in English) with him on ESPN and he says that it was intentional to pass the ball back. He indicated that he didn't have the position on the ball for a header on goal.

We were always taught that when making a head pass, that you should "look" the ball to your target. Seeing the replays, it was clear that he was "looking" the ball back to Sneijder.

Playing that miserable pitty pat style nearly ruined them. All they did for the first 80 minutes was help Costa Rica run down the clock. With time running out, they finally started playing attacking football and could have won it, but the fates and the clock were against them by then. Costa Rica were thrilled to see the game go to a shootout, and we could have wound up with nothing.

And, considering we did not want to have the game get to penalties, and seeing how Robin van Offside was worse than useless, I cannot understand why vG waited until the second overtime period to bring on the Hunter. Bring him on at the 60 minute mark and the game would never have even gone to overtime.

A disgusting Brazilian team suffered an unnecessary humiliation last night in the hands of the Germans! It made me feel uneasy. But the new their powers and went against the perfect storm. Just as Clooney did in the movie

Yes, it's a pity that happened last night as Barcelona have lost their bargaining power for Suarez....especially as their "bank", Neymar, is now worth twiddly twat!!! Where will they get the money for Suarez now....and when are these so called brilliant Brazilians going to show their faces in public again? THEY ARE A TOTAL DISGRACE!!!!!!! :drecul.gif: :drecul.gif: :drecul.gif: :drecul.gif: :drecul.gif:

I wouldn't call them a disgrace. They had a bad night while Germany were on fire. Happens to every team sooner or later. Play the game again and the score wouldn't be the same. (I'd still put my money on Germany, though.) :smallgrin.gif:
