I have no opinion, 'cos I've never paid any attention to him, really...

But some of my mates, who actually know what they're talking about, tell me that this is a very good move.Good player, knows how to score a goal, very strong physically.

I sure hope they're right.

Really don't have a clear picture on Duartes skill. Then again I don't follow other eredivisie teams that closely, but I have noticed a player like Maher for example so it's a bit worrying.

Too bad the Eriksen deal went through so late in the transfer window. I wonder was Duarte FdB's first choice replacement for Eriksen or was he more of a desperate signing.

I wonder did Duarte see our dreadful performance yesterday. He must feel at least a little pressure because after yesterday, a lot is expected of him. Then again he might think there's no way I will play any worse then those guys (Poulsen, Serero, Schöne).

Really hope he can turn things around in midfield.

V Ginkel was 1st choice to replace Christian but Duarte has been mentioned all summer so must have been high on FDB 's list.

The Lenin Duarte signing and the return of Siem de Jong to training with a ball at his feet are certainly good news . The rumoured 4 years (three if he proves to be good business) isn't out of line either.

In the past, we might have panic-bought or loaned an over-the-hill player (Kuffour, anyone?). At least nowadays we seem to have some kind of plan. This may not be an exact replacement for Eriksen, but I'm less worried about the way we go about buying players these days.

Yeah, I think also Overmars (okay, not the most loved Ajacied in these hours) stated that... I agree, he can remember Davids style, less physical but more accurate in giving the ball. this is just my feeling...

I have a lot of faith in overmars, he's not often been too far wrong.

Strong physically is exactly what the team needs -- here's hoping the 'good player' part pans out.

Not playing tomorrow evidently his ankle is still troubling him and its not known when he will be back.
