Young Ajax in the Jupiler League

A 1-1 draw with Emmen tonight in de Toekomst.The game was live on Fox so I got a stream ,actually aperfect picture and a lot better than my stream for Heerenveen! Their goal came from a cross by their left winger ,think his name is Martinez but he got the better of Ligeon then and a few times more. De Sa scored ours from wide on the left with a lovely right foot shot .
Nobody really stood out for us but as I said last week they will learn more from playing at this level than in the Reserve league. For the last 10 mins we played with 10 men as Honer the German striker who had not been on for long went off injured.

Finished 2-1 to Jong Ajax with Lazic scoring our 2nd on 66 mins. their goal came approx 86 but from about 50 th min de Kamps was sent off for 2 yellows so we played with 10 men.
Meleg ,Lobotka and Marinkovic( left back Swiss of Sebian origin who has been injured for the best part of his 2 years with us) all came on as subs.

Right... Marinkovic. So that's why we haven't heard from him so long. Did he make a good impression?

Marinkovic didn't play very long. He came in late as a sub.

I went to De Toekomst to watch this game, I had a good time. Our best football was with 10 Ajax players against 11 from Twente. I like Bazoer and Gravenberch!!

Should have added last night was not on TV so my comments were pure stats .I think Monday night is on TV ,20.00 CET v Jong PSV.The 4or 5 players who do not get used tomorrow for the 1st will likely play Monday.

Both goals came from the right wing ,the first was Jozefzoon the 2nd the right back both left our left back for dead crossed to an unmarked attacker in the box. Just before Ht Martina jumped to block a cross turned his back and hit his arm but our goalie saved the penalty.

I only saw the final 20 minutes and liked their style of play. Hardly any back passes and they pushed the ball up the field hard. This is the way it should be done!!

sorry mate I am here . Was eating my tea at the start of 2nd half and as you say a good win with Meleg taking his 2 goals very well and a nice goal from Lobotka who impressed.Thought it a clear penalty Sporkslede put it away. Ajax played well in the 2nd half and a complete turn around from their first half performance. Lobotka Meleg and Bazoer impressed the most .

Playing Sunday afternoon at Achilles 29 believe its on Tv . I am off to Cornwall tomorrow and the cottage I am staying in has no Wi-fi so I wont be watching next weeks first team game v Zwolle or posting . Will post again a week sunday.

I watched about 2/3 of the match today against Achilles. Jong Ajax lost the match 1-2 only a late goal by Castillion prevented the shut out. Just like the senior team, lots of possession but then no clue about how to get a cross in or penetrate into the middle area to get a shot off. Couldn't remember any shots on goal other than Castillion's. A number of players were not available because of call ups to Jong Oranje. Lazic started on left wing and was quite poor. Meleg was on the right but couldn't get through the defense. Klaasen started and played 60 minutes but did little. El Hasnaoui looks like he sees the field very well and it will be interesting to see how he develops. Since the players don't have names on their shirts I didn't know who half of them were. Anderson played in the holding midfield position and was OK.

NB. Just catching up on last week's defeat by Achilles and we did indeed have a weak team with some A1 youths playing ie Nordhoff Anderson who started and subs Mirani and Vissers are indeed 17 year old first year in the A1 so not surprised we lost . (Leeuwenburgh, Martina,Gravenberch,Nordhoff(Mirani), Kuipers, El Hasnaoui,Klaassen(Vissers),Anderson,Lazic(Castillion),Vermeij,and Meleg was the lineup for the recored .)
