This afternoon at 14:00 CET: draw for the first and second rounds of the KNVB Cup. Takes place at the KNVB headquarters in Zeist. PSV's Erik Pieters has been invited to take care of it.

ROFL!!!! As much as we were all ragging on Vermeer after the second Utrecht match, he was pretty solid down the stretch. Still.................. YES, Cillessen in goal. I can't remember if FdB started the #2 keeper in the cup matches last season. Lots of teams do this.

Yes, Frank did do this. Cillessen has played all cup matches last season. He wasn't really solid, to be honest.

ONS Sneek vs Ajax

ONS Sneek are in the Hoofdklasse (level 4) of Dutch football. Game to be played on 31 Oct, 01 Nov or something (date t.b.c. early next week).

Wow, this must be a record... ADO '20 (Topklasse, level 3) were 5-0 up against FC Eindhoven (First Division, level 2) after thirteen minutes!

I didn't see the goals, but I would love to see a video of that... Anyone?

Vitesse away for the cup is 29, 30 or 31 January (t.b.a.).

A bit boring having to watch the same opposition twice in a week . I was expecting us to play away to Fword or PSV.

I personally don't think Vitesse are as good a side as their league position suggests. By the time we play them their downward slide will be well and truly underway ;)
