Ajax heeft voor de tweede ronde van de KNVB beker een duel geloot tegen de winnaar van het eerste ronde duel tussen Noordwijk en EHC/Heuts. Volgens de regels speelt de amateurclub in de tweede ronde altijd thuis.

Noordwijk are in the Topklasse, the newly created third level of the Dutch football pyramid, between the Hoofdklasse (level 4) and the Eerste Divisie (level 2, officially named Jupiler League).

The draw for the third round is tonight, live on Veronica TV in Holland. They show highlights of all the games first, starting at 22:10 CET, and immediatrly after that is the draw. God know at what time, but I will be asleep, that's for sure, so I'll find out about it tomorrow morning...

Roda away for us. Looking at the fixture list for the third round, looks like Ajax received a proctological exam in this draw compared to PSV, Twente, and AZ .

The draw of the KNVB Cup has yielded some interesting posters. So get Vitesse ADO Den Haag, the former employer of coach John van den Brom. Ajax against Roda JC . Feyenoord is visiting at Go Ahead Eagles.

Roda away... That's a pretty tough one for round 3... But hey: we mustn't grumble, in recent years we've had many relatively easy home games in the cup. Always at home, mostly lucky in the draw.

Time for a tough one - and we got it.

Match will be played on 25, 26 or 27 October (exact date t.b.a.). It so happens that Roda away for the league is on 29 October. Ajax might as well stay down south.
