I think we haven¿t made a thread for a our new player from Aajax Cape Town. Stumbledupon a little highlights video of his 2010-2011 season and thought I posted it here. The one thing that shows is that he has a wicked mid range effort, I'm certainly very hopeful he'll make it in the mothership!

I just saw him in action for the first time, against Indepediente (I missed most of the pre-season campaign because I was on holiday).

What does a friendly game mean...? It's hard to say, but for what it's worth at the moment: I think he looks bloody great. Like Steven Pienaar, but more 'explosive' and 'to-the-point'.

Could turn out to be a really good football player...

Exactly. Great player, probably a potential crowds' favourite. In his style of playing he reminds of Pienaar a lot, indeed. But after today I'm so excited about him that I would like to compare him to Messi as well, although he didn't played on Messi's position indeed.

Of course, FC Buitenpost offered Serero a walk-in-the-park, but I'm sure that he will perform this season. He showed some real quality football. Other than Lodeiro, who also impressed me on his debut, but in a different - less impressive - way.

I was very impressed with him v Bronby ,pleased to read he had another good game.

Definately so. He played a good 90 minutes against the Danish. Yesterday he played for only 45 minutes, but in an even more impressive way than versus Brondby.

Oh, bollocks. Serero is screwed 'til January.

He picked up an injury yesterday. MRI scan showed a little muscular tear near the groin.

Nasty injuries, those. Very persistent. Always takes longer than expected.

Im sorry about his injury. But hopefully now the likes of Sporkslede and Klassen will get their chances

official release was that eriksen is 8... serero is 25.

He has not been picked for the African Nations Cup by South Africa so will be with us from next week and miss no matches.
