Someone on the Dutch zone got a text from a friend, which says Mido was spotted at Schipol.

All I'm saying is - if Mido somehow gets back to 80/90% of his form when he played with us, he's going to help out a LOT. He definitely has to behave himself though. Can't imagine the ego nuclear war between him, El H and Suarez if they don't behave.

Apparently we are getting him for 1 year also. Inspite of all that has been said today(after the Ooijer transfer), I think Ajax has learnt a lesson. They are not giving away 2/3 year deals to these guys. Plus we'll need all the depth we can get in the Champions League (if we get through).

Looking at the various 'personalities' around at that time, the Ajax dressing room at that time must have been one of the more interesting man-management case studies.

Goal.com reported on the 10th that it will take at least a couple of weeks to get a work permit for Mido. I guess Ajax is waiting for that before they announce the big news. Meanwhile the whole world knows that Mido is back. Very strange. Are they just being overly 'correct', or painfully out of touch with the fan base? If they announce this a week from now, wouldn't that make them look pretty ridiculous?

Ajax commercial director, Henry van der Aat, has stated on TV that if the Mido affair goes finalized, won't cost "anything" to Ajax. Not only 'cause he could arrive as a free agent but even "in terms of salary", which I found pretty unbelievable. The key is that Boro could (should?) have inserted a contract clausule towards Mido in which there is a sort of a "golden handshake" 'cause they relegated. With that money (and bonuses provided by Ajax for goals scored, trophies etc, I would add) Mido will live his second Amsterdam adventure for a year, then we can assume that terms will be renegotiated if both parts want to do it.
Quite strange, quite interesting IF TRUE.

Mido is a risk, so I'm glad he won't be an expensive risk if we decide to sign him.
