Toby over-stretched his right hamstring in yesterday's Classic. He will be sidelined for two, possibly up to four weeks.

That's the bad news.

The good news is that Oleguer looked quite good yesterday. I have faith in him for the upcoming month or so. He'll be valuable.

Reports in telegraaf today that he has signed an improved contract. He still remains tied to the club until 2014 but terms have been improved by the club.

Good news for the lad as the club are recognising that with his performances last season they were worth increased salary

I think we get coverage in central defense from Daley Blind and Lindgren. I think it was three years ago (van Basten era) when through a combination of things we were down to one central defender for the final match day and Lindgren stepped in to play. As the old poker saying goes, you play with the cards you have been dealt; not optimal of course.

Injured his ankle today and out for 2 or 3 weeks so thats likely to be AZ, Zagreb and maybe Fword without him . AZ game could see Anita, Vertonghen Ooijer Blind.!!!!!!!!!

Didn't know about Oleguer as I only checked Wikipedia and they listed him with no current club. No way do I want Atouba back with this club! I imagine both Van Rhijn and Koppers will get called up.

Just checked out Westerlo site and no sign of Oleguer . I did read last month that he was going to sign for them .Wikipedia shows him unattached.Sorry for false info.

I know its off topic but looking at the Westerlo site their academy has a coach called Barry Hulshoff.Good to see this legend of Ajax still coaching .

Back on Toby just hope he gets fit very soon really do not want to see Ooijer playing many games

The latest trend amongst Ajax supporters: saying that Toby isn't that good.

I think he's the bollocks and I really hope he will stay, but I'm not too sure about it. He seems quite eager to leave, but hopefully not to Norwich or a club of similar caliber (he turned Norwich down, but will he turn another offer down when the deadline comes nearer?).

Probably not news to you but the most recent rumor is that Everton has placed a bid. Not sure if it's true I haven't a statement from either club, player or agent.

thats in the press over here, but im not so sure how accurate it is.. good place to be though for him, martinez is well known for nice and attacking football... (in some ways haha) also everton are a decent top 10 side.
