Lost 2-1 thanks to the midfielder de Wit deciding the best way to deal with a free kick was to punch the ball with both fists and not use his head.Clear penalty.( Onana's was a bad mistake this was beyond description. )We had got back in to the game by a Lang goal but then came this winner on 78 mins . We should have got a penalty late on when their goalie came out and punched our player in the head,think he was initially going for the ball.

Eiting looked ok but Kluivert and Sierhuis didn't over impress me today.Sierhuis had a free header which went wide.

At least now we are out this competition we can now let Kluivert Zeefuik Eiting and Sierhuis play for Jong every week.

Ajaxshowtime just shows Scholten as Nationality Dutch ( penpictures ie place of birth, date of birth and position of most youths from u15 upwards are shown).In addition he is in a Dutch U 15 training camp in a couple of weeks time,one of 9 from Ajax.

Our U19 went to Rotterdam today and beat Feyenoord U19 3-1. Lang scored the first goal and Sierhuis the other 2 ,one a penalty . They had 2 players red carded.

Once the upcoming Youth ints are over it must be time to play Sierhuis in the Jong regularly and Redan in the U19's

This Monday its Chelsea wanting Redan .Until he signs a contract with us all these rumours will surface.

Ajax have confirmed Redan has turned down a contract and will leave in the summer. Clearly money in EPL has won the day.

No idea where he goes ,couldn't really care. Hope he does not get picked for any more youth games this season.
In 2019 UK out of EU and we can then only lose 16 year olds to Eu countries which is currently rare.

Last weekend Redan did not get picked for our U17 ie B1 and today was not in the squad ,clearly Ajax are not picking him anymore.Good thing.

Our B1 u17 have a few 15 year olds playing but a14 year old midfielder called Ryan Gravenberch,who scored 2 goals for them today .I believe he is the brother of ex Ajax Danzell(now with Reading in English championship).

I only follow our U19 and U17 teams but believe the best talents are U15 ie born 2002,like Gravenberch. Next year will be the last year English sides can sign kids U18 from overseas (when out of EU ,FIFA rules mean no U18).Hope we can keep the talents from this age group. Talents born 2003 will be ok although they can get signed by other teams from the EU.

The International U17 Futures cup is this weekend at deToekomst. Saturday to Monday.It used to be on Eurosport .

The star player from this group Redan ,has now left ,still not sure where he is getting his bag of gold from next year.

The list of news items shows Road to the futures Cup .No 1 was goalies ,today no 2 defenders, midfield and forwards the next 2 days.

Our U17 ie B1 have had a good 4 days .Following beating PSV on Saturday they beat Feyenoord today 2-0 in Rotterdam and lead the league by 3 points from AZ,both 2 games to play.Last Tuesday we drew 1-1 with AZ and they scored in injury time.Had we held on we would be 6 points clear .

NB Our A1 beat PSV and now are top of the league on GD fromPSV.We have 6 to play ,they only 5.Win the league and our U19's will be in next season's CL U19 whatever our 1st's do.

In the U17 Futures Cup at de Toekomst Ajax have drawn 0-0 with Japan J League ,beat Benfica 1-0 and today Juventus 2-0. Semi final v Anderlecht who are always very strong at this age group.

Todays best player was Ryan Gravenberch aged 14. He and a striker called Brobby are both U15 and there are about 6 U16's in the squad so lots of potential coming through.

The semifinal against Anderlecht was tied at 2 and Ajax then won the penalty shoot out. they went on to defeat Bayern U-17 2-0 in the final.

Just come in and seen we won the tournament. Given Redan has left and we have a 14 yo and some 15 year olds playing a great performance

Our A1 U19 won 1-0 v Willem yesterday and lead the league by 3 points from PSV with 5 games to play,PSV have played a game more. With Sierhuis injured and Redan leaving and not picked our U19 have no real fit striker.Lopez ,a regular winger also injured so still some way to go to be champs.

Our U17 's won the league today. Recent games without Redan they have done well.Half the team are born in 2001 so can play U17 next year but the 2000 born year is very moderate ( 1 or 2 lads born 2002) .Next month the Euro U17 champs and the only Ajax player Mitchell Bakker the defender who plays regularly for our U19.

Believe de la Vega a good prospect and one of the better players from the 2000 age group.He has played regularly for our U17's so should be with the u19's next season.(The U17's recent forward line has a lovely ring to it Sint,Margaret, de la Vega.)

Our u19's are looking good for the title and thus automatically in the U19 Champions league. They are 6 points clear of PSV ,both with 4 to play.Sierhuis has been missing injured for the last few games but de Lange,the highly rated goalie going to Twente is still playing.

U19 won 3-0 v Sparta yesterday still 6 points clear at the top ,3 to play.

A1 ie U19's beat AZ 2-0 yesterday and need a max 1 point from their last 2 games for the title. They are 9 clear of PSV who have 3 to play. This Saturday we play AZ again in the U19 cup semi .

I will just put a brief comment on Dutch U17 in the U17 Euros. They have played 3 games so far and qualify for the quarters .Mitchell Bakker ,a defender, is Ajax's only player although old player Familia Castillo ,now Chelsea ,is there.
1 or 2 games have been on Eurosport but with little Ajax involvement I haven't watched any.

Dutch u17 play Germany in the quarters Saturday night ,its on Eurosport so may watch a bit of it .

U19's did even better today ,beat AZ 4-1 in the U19 cup semi. I noticed an incredible score for the U15's they beat Sparta 7-5!

Finally Dutch U17 lost 2-1 to Germany in the U17 Euros.Bakker played.

Our U19 did indeed win the league on Saturday with a comfortable 3-1 home win v Feyenoord.They will be in the U19CL again. Just the U19 Cup final v PSV this week left
