I agree. Sneijder was the only good one on the pitch. The Czech Republic also played an awful match so can you imagine how bad the Orange14 are.

Very sad day, I shut it off after the 2nd Czech goal. I have sympathy, but optimism also for Danny Blind. He's obviously inexperienced but I'm okay with him carrying on with the NT.

Like you SPL I got hooked on the Dutch WC team during the 1974. Always love watching the NT do well, and sometimes not so well. Time to look optimistically towards 2018 WC. The footballing world is getting smaller all the time with countries like Iceland and Wales qualifying...good for them!

Well it does not get better. The U17's are this week playing a qualifying group for 2016 Euros ,top 2 go through to elite round .Wales,Albania ,Switzerland.We normally do well at finals but may not get there next year.

Wales beat us 2-1 yesterday so we have to win both our remaining games. Only 3 Ajax in the squad,all forwards, Che Nunnely,Anderson Lopez and Justin Kluivert(son of) Nunnely scored the goal and Kluivert replaced him as sub so minimal Ajax involved. (Bobby Adekanye ,now Liverpool and a former Ajax youth in the squad)

2 of our kids have pulled out Bakboord a full back with injury and defender Matthijs de Ligt pulled out to play for our U 19 v Schalke. I note ex Ajax Donyell Malen did not play , Arsenal wanting him for their U19 CL game. de Ligt badly missed ,as he is already one of our best u19's.

Well the Dutch U17 won 5-0 v Albania and Anderson Lopez of Ajax scored 2 goals.Kluivert also played but not Nunnely .Ex Ajax youth Adekanye scored a goal. On tuesday Dutch have to beat Switzerland to go to the next round.

Dutch U17 beat Switzerland 4-1 today , and finish top of the group and qualify for the next round.Nunnely started and Lopez came on as sub but neither scored.

5 different Oranje teams playing with Ajax in all of them.

Main Oranje with friendlies v Wales and Germany have Cillessen,Veltman Tete ,Klaassen and Bazoer. Riedewald dropped out today with a minor knee injury but Bazoer stays even though he has a minor knee injury!

U21 play Belarus and Slovakia in Euro 2017 qualifiers and just Sinkgraven

U20 play 2 friendlies v Czech with Groothuizen and Mirani. Owusu and Clement dropped out today with injuries (Not sure what to make of Mirani and Clement playing U 20 Ints ,both are fairly crap at Jong Ajax level)

U19 friendlies v England and Czech V Bladeren, v d Beek, Nouri, Dekker and Eiting ( called up for the first time aged just 17)

U18 play 4 nation tournament v Germany,Turkey and Czech. de Lange( goalie), Bloete (LB) and de Wit (MF). Boultam another MF dropped out today.

We seem to have lots of knee injuries.Klaassen has dropped out with one so has Sinkgraven from U21. Bazoer stays even though he has had knee problems.

An amazing finish yesterday where Dutch U20 drew 2-2 with Czech.After 90mins the Dutch 2-1 down had a corner and Indy Groothuizen our Jong Ajax goalie came up for it leaped in the air and headed an equaliser.

Well only Cillessen starting for Oranje tonight v Wales

Meanwhile not a bad day yesterday for other Dutch teams.

U21 beat Belarus 1-0 in a Euro qualifier, with no Sinkgraven ,there are no Ajax in the squad although Kishna played and so did Menig.

u19 drew 2-2 with England ,Nouri ,v d Beek and Dekker all played.

U18 beat Germany 1-0,Bloete and de Wit playing.

Cillessen finally saves a penalty but all the defenders are just standing around assuming he won't save it and a Wales player just walks in free to slot home the rebound.

Great for Cillessen finally saving a pen. Bazoer made his debut for the final few minutes but now has a hamstring injury.He was the one Ajax player who was injured v Fword last week but stayed on International duty and is now injured.Crazy.

I read that Bazoer's injury last week was to his calf. Most of those resolve pretty quickly which is maybe why he stayed with the NT. I hope the hamstring injury isn't serious.

Sam Hendriks called up for U21 game . Meanwhile U20 drew 2-2 v Czech ,Mirani played also Zivkovic. U18's drew 0-0 with Turkey, deLange,Bloete and de Wit all played.

Big one tonight ,Bazoer's 7 mins v Wales now sees him properly injured so hope we dont get anymore injured tonight.

Meanwhile our U18's drew 1-1 with Czech and finished 2nd in this tournament. de Lange ,Bloete and deWit all played.

U19's beat Czech u19's 4-2 Bergwijn ,the PSV who left us 4 years ago, scored 2 goals, Dekker 1. As well as Dekker Nouri v d Beek ,Eiting all played as did Frenkie de Jong . Goalie v Bladeren missed out he is injured.

Match against Germany was cancelled. Security found a suspicious suitcase in the stadium.

I planned to go there tonight as I am in Bremen for business but decided beer was more important. Glad I did.

Bad news but at least everyone is safe .

More bad news our U21 lost 4-2 to Slovakia in the U21 2017 euro qualifiers.Slovakia lead the group. All 9 group leaders to the final, 4 best runner ups play off.Dutch have no more games until next Sept but could struggle to be group runners up.

Plenty of Ints at the end of the month I will be brief reporting Junior matches but the initial provisional squads have been chosen with loads of Ajax.The final squads will see some of our lads drop out but I list them here
