And Marseille wins thanks to a late Bakary Koné goal! How big a chance is there that Twente pull this next one off? At home, right? I still wouldn't put my money on em.

Yes indeed: the Dutch side that left the Helmond Cup behind in Paris on 18 December 2008, can now collect it in Marseille, two months later. Isn't that wonderful?

And if they lose the away leg, they'll likely get a second chance in Enschede. For l'O.M. there would only be one league game in between the two Twente fixtures, at home against Le Mans.

Twente 1 nil up against Marseille....and have won! So i guess the cup goes to them, anyone know who they are playing in the Eredivisie next? Hopefully they will lose a) helps our league campaign b) keeps the cup in NL

Congrats Fc Twente!!! The chances of getting it back in +31 so quickly were very slim at best and I am proud to be able to witness this brilliant piece of history in the making.

I do hope that SPARTA will get The Cup coming weekend.

As long as the Helmond Cup is in Rotterdam we do not have to fear losing the thing to a team from abroad.

One more win in the French league (at home against Valenciennes) and the Helmond Cup will 'go UEFA Cup' once again. Against... that's right.

Luckily for us, PSG is also still in the Uefa-cup (and face the not undefeatable Braga)! Although chances are slim, hypothetically we might go through against Marseille, without winning in France and then play PSG in the quarter-finals!
